Unafraid of tough competition, Pfeifer earns IMCA Stock Car rookie honors

HILL CITY, Kan. – A tough 2015 Hobby Stock season didn’t deter Kyle Pfeifer from moving to the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car division this year. “I wanted to see what I could do in a new class,” Pfeifer said, after winning eight of his 52 starts and earning national and EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region rookie awards. “The competition level around here is second to none. I got to race with guys I grew up watching, and racing side-by-side with them for the win was awesome.” Also the Thomas County Speedway track and Allstar Performance State champion, Pfeifer was 12th in national points. Five IMCA divisions on Saturday card for Jackson Nationals

JACKSON, Minn. – A full Saturday of racing sees five IMCA divisions take their turn on the track at the Jackson Motorplex IMCA Nationals Doug Cellan Memorial. Gates open at 9 a.m. and hot laps begin at 1 p.m. Sept. 24 at Jackson. Complete shows for Mach-1 Sport Compacts and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks precede qualifying for Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. The track will be reworked at approximately 5 p.m. and hot laps are at 7 p.m., followed by Northern SportMod and Stock Car features, then a complete show for Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds. Modifieds, Stock Cars and Northern SportMods all race for top prizes of $2,000. The Hobby Stock feature pays $1,600 to win and the Sport Compact feature $750. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and Allstar Performance State, but no local track points will be awarded. Sprint Cars will also be competing. Canyon checkers fly for Noll 

By Lonnie Wheatley PEORIA, Ariz. (June 18) – Jason Noll raced to the IMCA Modified victory during the sixth annual Father’s Day Classic event at Canyon Speedway Park Saturday night. Noll charged from the front row outside to capture his first Arizona Differential IMCA Modified feature event at Canyon since a three-race win streak to finish out last September.  Noll’s first CSP triumph of 2016 came ahead of 19th starter Brian Schultz with Steve Stultz, Chaz Baca Jr. and 11th starter Jay Foster in the top five.
