Additional plastic body components added to IMCA rules for 2024

VINTON, Iowa (Feb. 27, 2024) – Two plastic body components have been added to IMCA rules for 2024. Modified, Northern SportMod and Southern SportMod drivers may use the Performance Bodies MD3 plastic dirt modified nose kit, part number MD M21100 or a combination of that nose kit and aluminum. The second component allowed, in the Late Model division only, is the Performance Bodies MD3 M7751B plastic 8-inch right side spoiler. Both additions, noted IMCA President Brett Root, have been made to rules for the respective divisions posted on the IMCA website.

IMCA RaceSaver Sprints headline Saturday Sitton Classic at Hunt County

GREENVILLE, Texas (Feb. 26, 2024) – IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars are on the Saturday night card when Hunt County Raceway celebrates a Texas motorsports legend. The March 2 Smiley Sitton Classic main event for IMCA Sprints at Greenville pays $3,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Texas State points will be awarded. Eight are great and new to B & B All-Star eligibility

VINTON, Iowa (Feb. 26, 2024) – A flurry of early season specials saw eight IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers race their respective ways to B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying contention. Bo Partain won four Ernie Mincy Early Thaw features and an Arizona IMCA Tour event over the span of just 28 days. Other Early Thaw winners at Central Arizona Raceway were Brock Beeter, Trent Grager and Ken Schrader. Thomas Hall Jr. topped the Ice Breaker at Abilene Speedway before the Arizona IMCA Tour resumed and wins went to Larry Brigner, Ryan Roath and Brad Whitfield. Alvarado, Morris, Herring race to Fast Shafts eligibility

VINTON, Iowa (Feb. 26, 2024) – Another three Friesen Performance IMCA Modified drivers are new to Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. Ricky Alvarado and Troy Morris III were winners during Central Arizona Raceway’s Ernie Mincy Spring Thaw. Toby Herring, meanwhile, triumphed at Abilene Speedway’s aptly named Ice Breaker. New promoter wants to deliver first-rate racing at Hancock County

BRITT, Iowa (Feb. 22, 2024) – Back when Hancock County Speedway was being built, Darin Toot used to take breaks from his job delivering milk and eat his lunch at the track so he could follow the work in progress. IMCA Late Model sanction is first for Park Jefferson, South Dakota

JEFFERSON, S.D. (Feb. 21, 2024) – Park Jefferson Speedway will crown its first-ever IMCA Sunoco Late Model track champion this season. Sanctioned Late Models join five other IMCA divisions at PJ and run on six select nights in 2024. KENNEDALE, Texas (Feb. 19, 2024) – Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars headline both nights of Kennedale Speedway Park’s season-opening Spring Kickoff special. Friday, Feb. 23 and Saturday, Feb. 24 main events see the Modifieds race for $1,000 to win and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. Stock Cars chase $750 top checks and B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. Former track champion Peery primed to promote Yreka Speedway

YREKA, Calif. (Feb. 16, 2024) – The last laps Travis Peery turned at Yreka Speedway took him to a track championship. The laps he’ll turn this year will be getting the big quarter-mile clay oval ready for Saturday night race programs featuring Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods. “The track was closed and did not open in 2023 and that was tough. IMCA Stock Cars are new attraction at Eagle River

EAGLE RIVER, Wis. (Feb. 15, 2024) – The newest attraction at Eagle River Speedway are the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. The Class Too Tough To Tame joins the weekly lineup at the extreme northern Wisconsin track, with a dozen shows scheduled on Tuesday nights between May 26 and Aug. 20. “We like the class and the IMCA rules package. Douglas County fills a Friday niche for IMCA in Oregon

ROSEBURG, Ore. (Feb. 12, 2024) – Drivers in the Pacific Northwest will chase IMCA points at a newly sanctioned Friday night venue. Douglas County Dirtrack hosts seven dates for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, nine for the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and eight Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact shows this season. First points races will be April 12 with the final night on Sept. 2.
