‘B’ main to victory lane for Michonski on Hall of Fame Night

By Scott Owen SHAWANO, Wis. (June 27) – The fans that came out in droves for Hall of Fame Night at Shawano Speedway enjoyed a hall of fame caliber performance from Dan Michonski Saturday night. After qualifying from a ‘B’ feature, Michonski started 17th and hustled all the way to the front of the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature field. Trent Nolan and Jeremie Hedrick fought for the lead at the start and were quickly joined by Rod Snellenberger and Brandon Czarapata at the front. Baumli up to challenge at Doyle Lance Remembrance Race

By Jacob Blair OSBORN, Mo. (June 26) – When the big money is on the line, it is historically J.J. Baumli always challenging to run away with the winner’s check. However, for the Doyle Lance Remembrance Race for the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, it looked as though Mich Ross and Connor Masoner would be the one’s battling for the trophy. Ross led more than half of the 20-lap feature, with Masoner in his tire tracks. With a few laps to go, Masoner got a run on Ross and the two made contact. Both drivers left the track with flat tires and Baumli inherited the lead and the eventual win. Chad Clancy, making his first appearance in a Stock Car this season, finished in the second position. Boumeester is winner at Kossuth County Wyffel’s Hybrids IMCA SportMod special

By Greg Grabianowski ALGONA, Iowa (June 25) – Jared Boumeester led the final 19 laps to collect the $1,000 checkers in the Wyffel’s Hybrids IMCA SportMod special at Kossuth County Speedway. Twenty-nine Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods contested the Thursday night main event with Boumeester getting the win ahead of Matt Looft and George Nordman. Boumeester had slid past Zach Davis for the lead on the sixth lap of the 25-lap feature and built a comfortable lead before encountering a group of lapped cars on the 15th circuit. Looft closed the gap to make things interesting as the two drivers weaved in and out of traffic. IMCA Modifieds race for $1K at Red River Tour shows

ARDMORE, Okla. – IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berths each night of the Lone Star Super Gas Red River Tour South presented by Smiley’s Racing Products. Opening night for the third annual tour is Wednesday, July 1 at Southern Oklahoma Speedway, with events to follow July 2 at Grayson County Speedway, July 3 at Heart O’ Texas Speedway, July 4 at Kennedale Speedway Park and July 5 at Boyd Raceway. Ken Schrader will follow the tour, which has no entry fee any night. Mufflers are required at KSP and at Boyd. Berry tops IMCA Modified feature at Durbin Memorial

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (June 24) – Tom Berry Jr. turned away all challengers and went home with both the IMCA Modified feature win and a $1,000 check from Stuart Speedway’s Jake Durbin Memorial. Dylan Thornton and Jordy Nelson were on the front row for Wednesday’s main event. Nelson led early with Todd Shute waiting in the wings. A lap six caution slowed the field and when flagman Jamie Schirm waved the green it was Berry powering to the lead with Richie Gustin in tow. Berry had some challenges but stayed tough out front as he went on to the win. Already on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot, Berry crossed the stripe ahead of Gustin with Cayden Carter third. Tim Ward was fourth and Shute fifth. Buck Schafroth cruised to the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car checkers ahead of Dallon Murty and Damon Murty. Saturday start for IMCA Midwest Madness Tour

HARLAN, Iowa – IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars race for a minimum of $1,000 to win each night of the Arnold Motor Supply Midwest Madness Tour. The tour starts Saturday, June 27 at Shelby County Speedway in Harlan, then travels to The New Raceway Park Speedway at Jefferson, S.D., on Sunday, June 28; Clay County Fair Speedway at Spencer on Monday, June 29; Fairmont, Minn., Raceway on Tuesday, June 30; Kossuth County Speedway in Algona on Wednesday, July 1; Stuart Speedway on Thursday, July 2; and Crawford County Speedway in Denison on Friday, July 3. IMCA Stock Cars in spotlight Friday at U.S. 36 Raceway

OSBORN, Mo. – This Friday, June 26, at U.S. 36 Raceway the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars headline the night with the running of the Doyle Lance Remembrance Race. The Doyle Lance Remembrance Race pays $700 to win and $100 to start and is using a draw/redraw format. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern Sport Mods are also racing. IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win their June 27 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot-qualifying feature. Top prize for the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods is $700.
