IMCA One Night Stand on Aug. 6 card at LaSalle Speedway

LaSALLE, Ill. – More money is on the line when three IMCA divisions return to LaSalle Speedway for the second annual One Night Stand special on Saturday, Aug. 6. IMCA Late Models race for $3,000 to win, Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods both for $2,000. The Modified feature is a qualifying event for the 2017 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Allstar Performance Illinois State points will be awarded in all three divisions. Modifieds also vie for BMS North Central Region points. Minimum start money is $300 for the Late Models, $200 for the Modifieds and $125 for the SportMods. Tow money in all three divisions is $75 and there are no entry fees. Spectator admission is $25 for adults and free for kids 11 and under. Pit passes are $35. Dodge City Raceway Park into the home stretch 

By Lonnie Wheatley DODGE CITY, Kan. – Another season is quickly racing by at Dodge City Raceway Park. Including Friday’s Driver Appreciation Night special, only three nights of championship chase ac­tion remain for the track’s featured divisions of Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. The only point race action that remains after Friday is the third annual SportMod Mayhem event on Aug. 27 and the season-ending Jerry Soderberg Memorial Championship on Sept. 24. Attention shifts first to Friday’s Driver Appreciation Night card that fires off at 7:30 p.m. While a large number of free tickets to Friday’s card will be distributed by drivers, additional tick­ets will be available at the gate for $15 for adults with children 11 and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult.  Pit passes are $30.

URSS readies for inaugural Ernie DiCroce Memorial 

BYERS, Colo. – The 2016 URSS IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Series will invade Colorado Motor­sports Park Saturday night, July 30 for the inaugural Ernie DiCroce Memorial. Gates open at 5 p.m. with a concert by School Of Rock. Races kick off at 7 p.m. A stellar field of drivers from Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma will be ready to hit the clay once again as they shoot it out for the top prize. Colorado Motorsports Park is located 44 miles east of Denver on I-70 exit 316. The top five in national points are Luke Cranston, Zach Blurton, Darren Berry, Brian Herbert and Jed Werner. AFTON, N.Y. – There’s a new name atop the leaderboard coming into Friday’s Atomic­wraps.com Empire State Series event at I-88 Speedway. The July 29 feature for traveling Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds pays $500 to win and mini­mum $75 to start. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Dirt Works Eastern Region, Allstar Performance State and special series points will be awarded at the sixth of 10 2016 tour events. Two complete shows on tap for Lee County Summerfest 

DONNELLSON, Iowa – Summerfest features at Lee County Speedway pay $1,000 to winners of Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod main events. The Monday, Aug. 1 Modified feature at Donnellson is a qualifying event for the 2017 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Stock Cars and Northern SportMods are on both Monday, Aug. 1 and Tuesday, Aug. 2 programs, as are Mach-1 Sport Compacts, running for $300 to win. Frontier Days shows feature $1,000 to win IMCA Modified mains

LOVELOCK, Nev. – A pair of $1,000 to win, Fast Shafts Allstar Invitational ballot qualifying features are on Friday, July 29 and Saturday, July 30 Frontier Day cards at Lovelock Speedway. Presenting the Nile Valley 40 lap features are the Nile Valley Race Club and Pershing County Rec Board. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Larry Shaw Racing Western Region, Allstar Performance State and local track points will be awarded for each show. Pit gates open at 4 p.m., the grandstand opens at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m. both nights. Car and driver is $60 a day. Pit passes are $25. Des Moines hosts Friday night Deery Series show 

DES MOINES, Iowa (July 26) – The Deery Brothers Summer Series is Des Moines bound for a July 29 event at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. Friday’s feature for touring IMCA Late Models pays $2,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 4:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow. Spectator admission is $20 for adults or $15 with discount coupon available from any Casey’s General Store. Seniors and military are $18 or $13 with coupon, while youth are $10 and five and under get in free. Pit passes are $30. Jeff Aikey of Cedar Falls leads the Deery points race coming into the 10th of 16 events in the 30th annual series. Aikey already owns seven Deery championships and counts six Iowa State Fair­grounds feature wins among his series-best 66 checkers. County Fair show takes IMCA Hawkeye Dirt Tour to Dubuque 

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The seventh Hawkeye Dirt Tour event of the season takes touring Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds to Dubuque Speedway for the first time Tuesday night. The July 26 feature pays $1,200 to win, a minimum of $150 to start and is a qualifying event for the 2017 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Spectator admission is free with paid admission ($10 for adults) to the Dubuque County Fair. The grandstand is open all day and pit gates open at 4 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. Pit passes are $30. Cottage Grove readies for Mark Howard Memorial

By Ben Deatherage COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. ­– The pit area at Cottage Grove Speedway will be filled with Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds for the 2016 edition of the Mark Howard Memorial Nationals. The event will cover two nights of action beginning Friday, July 22 and concluding Saturday, June 23. The main event winner on Saturday will receive $2,600 along with a spot on the ballot for the 2017 fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Tickets each night are adults $13, juniors and seniors $10, kids ages 6-12 $5 and five and under free. Family passes are $30. In honor of the track’s 60th anniversary the 60th fan through the front gate gets in free. A two-day adult pass will be $20. Three-day swing takes IMCA Hawkeye Dirt Tour to Des Moines, Osky, Knoxville

DES MOINES, Iowa (July 14) – Three events in as many nights will test the mettle of both men and machines following the Hawkeye Dirt Tour. Traveling Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds are at the Iowa State Fairgrounds Speedway in Des Moines on Tuesday, July 19 and at Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa on Wednesday, July 20 for $1,000 to win events before running for $1,500 to win on Thursday, July 21 at Knoxville Raceway. All three tracks are half-mile ovals. The Tuesday show marks the first appearance by the Dirt Tour at Des Moines.
