IMCA Modified stars shine at Hancock County specials

BRITT, Iowa – Three very rich nights of racing give the stars of the IMCA Modified division the opportunity to shine at Hancock County Speedway. The Thursday, Aug. 9 Night of 1,000 Stars at Britt pays a guaranteed $3,500 to win and $300 to start, plus a bonus of $1,000 to the leader at halfway and another $1,000 if the winner has perfect attendance at Britt this season. The Night of 10,000 Stars on Friday, Aug. 10 sports a $7,000 top check, plus $1,000 bonuses to the halfway leader, for perfect attendance and for having won on Thursday as well. Red River Valley, Norman County host Sanders Modified Challenge Tour dates

WEST FARGO, N.D. – IMCA Modifieds take to the track in $1,300 to win, Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying features on both nights of the Sanders Modified Challenge Tour. Events Wednesday, Aug. 8 at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, N.D., and Thursday, Aug. 9 at Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minn., are draw/redraw and pay $1,100 for second and $1,000 for third. Minimum start money is $200. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Side Biter Chassis North Central and Minnesota State points, but no track points will be awarded. Out-Pace Racing Products gives a $100 hard charger award. Both shows will be broadcast by IMCA.TV and pork chops will be served in the pit area after the race program is complete at Ada. Pit gates open at 3:30 p.m., the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m., the draw cutoff is at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. both nights. Car and driver is $30. Arnold Motor Supply Dirt Knights Tour finale Aug. 6 at Clay County Fair Speedway

SPENCER, Iowa – The finale for the 2018 Arnold Motor Supply Dirt Knights Tour is Monday, Aug. 6, when IMCA Modifieds headline the Clay County Fair Speedway show. A top check of $2,000, along with a berth on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot are at stake as the series travels to Spencer, hometown of tour title sponsor Arnold Motor Supply. Arnold Motor Supply provides a portion of the $10,000 point fund and also awards a Traeger Lil’ Tex Elite Pellet Grill to the champion of the ninth annual tour. IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars have Sept. 13 date at LVMS

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – A third IMCA division has a race date at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and the half-mile Dirt Track. IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars visit the city of lights on Thursday, Sept. 13 during NASCAR’s Fall South Point 400 Weekend. The Clash On The Clay date on the Las Vegas dirt resulted from a conversation between Western RaceSaver Sprint Series Director Scott Woodhouse and Tim Richter, short track racing operations manager at LVMS. “We were talking and Tim told me they were looking for another division to run that night. I asked ‘How about the RaceSaver Sprint Cars?’” Woodhouse said. “We could get cars from the WRSS here out west and from states to the east. Misfit Challenge features this weekend at US 36, Eagle

LASALLE, Ill. – The Deery Brothers Summer Series makes its first-ever visit Saturday to LaSalle Speedway, where a $2,000 check awaits the winner of the Aug. 4 Illinois Valley IMCA Showdown main event. Ven­tura County Fair race is Wednesday

VENTURA, Calif. – IMCA Modifieds are on the Wednesday night program at the Ventura County Fair, racing for $800 to win and a minimum of $100 to start. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Larry Shaw Race Cars Western Region, California State and track points will be awarded at the Aug. 1 show at Ventura Raceway. Modified teams are asked to arrive as close to 9:30 a.m. as possible to line up along the street to get the best possible spots as they are given on a first come, first serve basis. Drivers will be allowed to pit with their rigs as long as space is available; anyone lining up earlier than 9:30 a.m. will be turned away.
