Hagerstown hosts East Coast Nationals for IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars May 24-25

HAGERSTOWN, Md. – All roads lead to Hagerstown Speedway for the May 24-25 East Coast Nationals for IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars.  The event is co-sanctioned by the Virginia Sprint Series, Pennsylvania Sprint Series and Laurel Highlands Sprint Series, and also features Carolina Sprint Tour and Mid Atlantic Sprint Series competitors.  IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and E3 Spark Plugs State points will be awarded. Two $300 to win, $150 to start features will be held if there are 70 or more entries on Friday.  Saturday’s main event pays $1,000 to win and $500 to start. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. both days. Hot laps are at 7:30 p.m. with racing to follow. IMCA Arnold Motor Supply Dirt Knights Tour at Sports Park Raceway for opening night

FORT DODGE, Iowa – Plenty of new lighting is already in place and concession stands have been remodeled. Four sections of aluminum bleachers will be put in place and the leader board relocated to the front stretch before Sports Park Raceway rolls out the red carpet for opening night of the Arnold Motor Supply Dirt Knights Tour.  IMCA Modifieds following the 10th annual tour race for $1,500 to win along with a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth on Tuesday, May 21.  “We made history last year when we opened as an IMCA track and we look forward to making it again when we host the Dirt Knights Tour for the first time,” said co-promoter Jason Vansickel. “We were excited to be IMCA sanctioned last season. Top IMCA Modified check is $1,000 at May 18 Salmon Valley show

SALMON VALLEY, Idaho – A check for $1,000 waits for the winner of the Saturday, May 18 IMCA Modified feature at Salmon Valley Speedway. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Larry Shaw Race Cars Western Region, E3 Spark Plugs Idaho State and track points are at stake as well in the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying event. Pit gates will be open all day and the grandstand opens at 6 p.m. Hot laps precede 7 p.m. racing. There’s a $35 entry fee and pit passes are $15. Durbin Memorial set for May 15 at Stuart Speedway

STUART, Iowa – A $1,000 to win, Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying event tops the program for Stuart Speedway’s inaugural Jake Durbin Memorial on Wednesday, May 15.  The Modified feature pays a minimum of $100 to start while IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks race for $800 to win and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts all race for a minimum of $400 to win. Stock Car Shootout this Saturday at Dodge City

By Lonnie Wheatley DODGE CITY, Kan. – The Dodge City Raceway Park Sprint Car Nationals is expanding from two to three nights in 2019.  And with the June event rapidly approaching, entries are now being accepted for the upcoming third annual Lubbock Wrecker Service-sponsored event.  The $3,000-to-win IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car event that could potentially climb to as much as $4,500 with lap money included is set for June 13-15 atop the 3/8-mile clay oval in southwest Kansas. The rapidly-evolving event includes the Precise Racing Products DCRP Sprint Cars along with the United Rebel Sprint Series and Sprint Series of Oklahoma. Night of firsts precedes 100th event for IMCA Wild West Modified Tour

AZTEC, N.M. – After a night of firsts, IMCA’s Wild West Modified Tour celebrates a milestone 100th event on night two of its season-opening doubleheader at Aztec Speedway.  First-ever tour events for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods along with the first tour event for Modifieds since 2014 will be held Friday, May 3. The same three divisions are on the Saturday, May 4 card. Sunset Speedway Park readies for April 20 Discount Days opener

By Ben Deatherage  BANKS, Ore. – After last week’s disappointing rainout things are looking to finally get underway on Saturday, April 20, at Sunset Speedway Park.  The Banks Bullring has a full card of racing and will feature a special admission price with $5 for one general admission ticket or $8 for two.  Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods will be featured regularly at SSP after only hosting a couple of races last year and will crown a champion for the first time since 2017.  Drivers and fans are encouraged to check the track website/Facebook page for weather updates.  Pit gates open at 2 p.m. and front gates open at 4 p.m., with racing kicking off at 6 p.m. A family pass (two adults and up to four youth) is offered for $35 while premium seats are available for $25 each.  For more information log on to www.sunsetspeedwaypark.com.
