Looft Charges From Ninth To Win Arlington Stock Car Feature

By Susan Allen ARLINGTON, Minn. (May 9, 2026) — The air was chilly, but the racing was hot at Arlington Raceway, and there were three different leaders in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature. Ryan Grochow led the first two laps before Ken Tietz, who started in the second row, got around him to take over the race. By lap seven, Matthew Looft had the lead in his No. 6-7 machine after starting ninth. Behind him, there was a battle royale between Dave Moriarty, Dan Mackenthun, Curt Lund, and Trent Loverude. In the end, the Swea City, Iowa driver earned his first feature win of the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region. Lloyd Charges to Season Opening Sprint Car Victory at Huset’s

(May 10, 2026) — Aydin Lloyd led the final 13 laps to capture his second career RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car victory at Huset’s Speedway during the season-opening 20-lap main event. Owen Carlson paced the opening seven circuits before the Brandon native capitalized while working through traffic. Lloyd took command on lap eight and steadily pulled away during the caution-free feature, building nearly a five-second advantage at one point before winning by 1.264 seconds. Carlson settled for second, while Brandon Bosma advanced from ninth to finish third. Andrew Sullivan crossed the line fourth, followed by Cole Vanderheiden in fifth. Heat race victories went to Travis Christensen, Carlson, Dylan Waxdahl, and Lloyd. Michalob Voeltz won the B Main.

Wayman Goes from 16th to Win SportMod Feature at Eagle

(May 9, 2026) — The most electrifying run of the night at Eagle Raceway came in the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods, where Cole Wayman stormed from 16th to score a dramatic victory. After an early multi-car incident shuffled the field, the Lincoln driver methodically worked his way forward, cracking the top five before charging into second with seven laps remaining. He completed the pass for the lead with four to go and never looked back. Gary Saathoff held on for second, while Mary Hahn finished third. (May 8, 2026) — Billy Hubbard put together a perfect night with the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Cars of the Virginia Sprint Series, sweeping both his heat race and the feature on Fast Friday at Dixieland Speedway. Hubbard, from Cobbs Creek, set the tone early by winning his heat, while Matthew Leach also scored a preliminary victory. Baldwin Completes First CST Weekend Sweep in Three Years at Harris Speedway

(May 9, 2026) — The Carolina Sprint Tour presented by GSR Chassis rolled into Harris Speedway on Saturday night with another strong group of RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Cars in the pit area. Despite several teams battling mechanical issues from the previous evening, the field was ready for another exciting night of racing under the North Carolina lights. Kicking off the evening in Radical Race Gear Hot Laps was Friday night winner Dillan Baldwin of Taylorsville, Kentucky. Baldwin continued his momentum by setting quick time with a lap of 14.274 seconds aboard the familiar 67B machine. Heat race competition saw Steve Diamond Jr. of Brooksville, Florida charge to victory in heat one, while U.S. Air Force active-duty member Derrek Treece of Sumter, South Carolina claimed the second heat. Teenage Duel Lights Up Carolina Speedway as Baldwin Scores Carolina Sprint Tour Win

(May 8, 2026) — A beautiful Carolina evening set the stage as 15 RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Cars signed in at Carolina Speedway for round two of six in the K-Town Pizza and Pub Mini Series for the Carolina Sprint Tour presented by GSR Chassis. Tyler Lupton of Clarkston, Michigan, set the pace early in Radical Race Gear Hot Laps with a quick lap of 14.975 seconds around “The Action Track.” Heat race victories went to Lupton and defending series champion George Loux. In the first heat race, rookie Aiden Snead took a tumble that ended his night early. Snead exited the car under his own power and was uninjured. Dewease Breaks Through with First IMCA Sprint Car Victory at Bedford with Laurel Highlands Sprint Series

BEDFORD, Pa. (May 1, 2026) — The Laurel Highlands Sprint Series returned for its second visit of the season to Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway, and Cole Dewease made the most of the opportunity. The Fayetteville driver held off a determined field to capture his first career RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature win. Dewease took control early and maintained a steady pace out front, but never had much breathing room. Josh Spicer, already a winner at Bedford earlier this season, quickly moved from fourth to second within the opening laps and kept the pressure on throughout the event. Weaver Breaks Through with First Port Royal Sprint Car Victory

(May 2, 2026) — Lock Haven’s Jeff Weaver completed a steady climb to the top at Port Royal Speedway Saturday night, earning his first River Valley Builders PA Sprint Series feature win at “The Speed Palace” against a strong field of 47 RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Cars. Weaver, who has shown speed throughout the season with two heat race wins and a B-Main victory, finally converted that pace into a feature triumph. Chad Volk of Lake Crystal, who started third, had his car dialed in early and led the entire distance to score his first win of the year in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region. Cory Probst, who started 10th, appeared to be a contender before a caution sent him to the back on a restart.
