Lessig Family Sweeps Stock Cars at El Paso County; Brian Sr. Edges O’Lear by Three Points for Title

(Aug. 16, 2025) — On championship night at El Paso County Raceway, the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car main event turned into a family affair as Peyton’s Brian Lessig powered to victory, followed by his son, Brian Lessig Jr. of Colorado Springs, in second. Local driver Ryan O’Lear of Calhan crossed in third to complete the podium. The win was Brian Lessig’s second of the season at El Paso County Raceway and also his second in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region. Whitman Prevails in Outagamie Speedway Modified Feature

By Joe Orsini SEYMOUR, Wis. (Aug. 15, 2025) — The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified finale at Outagamie Speedway kicked off with Kevin Feck grabbing the top spot at the drop of the green. Marcus Yarie wasted no time sliding into the runner-up spot and pressured Feck until making the pass on lap three. While that battle raged, Jayden Schmidt quietly worked the No. 24 into third, but Konnor Wilinski had other ideas and slipped by both Schmidt and Feck for second just before the halfway caution. Mechanical issues sidelined Feck under yellow, erasing a strong run. Wilinski used the restart to lead lap 11, but Yarie countered the very next trip around. Williamson Unstoppable in Modified Midweek Mayhem at Cottage Grove

(Aug. 13, 2025) — Jesse Williamson dominated Wednesday’s Friesen Performance IMCA Modified 25-lap feature at Cottage Grove Speedway, scoring his second Shaw Race Cars Western Region victory of 2025. Both wins have come at CGS for the Coburg driver, a multi-time IMCA Wild West Speedweek champion and pilot of the SDMF Customs no. W5 house car. Williamson jumped to the lead at the drop of the green and dealt with slower traffic as early as lap eight. The lone caution waved on lap nine, setting up a slider attempt from defending series and five-time reigning track champion Jake Mayden going into turn one. Murty Muscles Past Carter for Stock Car Thriller

By Kaden Krebs MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (Aug. 8, 2025) — The Sunoco IMCA Stock Car main event at Marshalltown Speedway was the showstopper of the night, going 20 hard-fought laps. Ethan Atcheson and Dillon Solum brought the field to green, with Solum pacing the opening lap before a quick caution with 19 to go. Solum, Brayton Carter, and Dallon Murty staged an early three-way fight for the top spot until another yellow at lap 16 bunched them again. Carter pounced on the restart, taking the lead with 15 to go, but Murty stayed in striking distance. After a final caution with five laps left, Murty and Carter pulled away from the pack, with David Brandiss and Jimmy Gustin joining the scrap in the closing laps. Baca led the first three laps around the Algona oval before Jeremy Mills powered into the lead on lap four. Once out front, Mills built a commanding advantage and never looked back, collecting his fourth feature win of the season at Algona and a $2,000 payday. (Aug. 10, 2025) — Westhope’s Gabriel Deschamp topped the inaugural John Gaule Memorial at Nodak Speedway on Sunday night, pocketing $4,000 in the biggest Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod race in North Dakota. The 40-lap main event honored the late John Gaule and drew a talent-packed field of 48 entries from across the state and beyond for its first running. Maughlin Grabs Household Victory at RPM

(Aug. 9, 2025) — The Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod feature at RPM Speedway had a little extra on the line besides a trip to victory lane — household bragging rights. Polesitter Brianna Maughlin jumped out front from the get-go and quickly had company from her boyfriend, Kamren Gruber, who shot into second. Rust Dominates Modified Main at Spencer for First Salute To Vets Tour Triumph

By Ben Deatherage SPENCER, Iowa (Aug. 6, 2025) — Joel Rust showed the way in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Clay County Fair Speedway, collecting his first-ever Hunting With Heroes Salute To Veterans Tour presented by Performance Bodies and Parts victory. The win came during the third night of Iowa Speedweek and also served as the Clay County Clash. The 20-lap, $2,000-to-win contest marked Rust’s third triumph of the season in the Razor Chassis North Central Region, each at a different track. Rust, from Grundy Center, took the lead from the drop of the green and built a commanding advantage before a caution on lap 14 gave second-running Brandon Beckendorf one final shot.
