IMCA Stock Cars chase $5,000 to win Baby Blue Harcrow checkers at Heart O’ Texas

WACO, Texas (June 22, 2023) – IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers will get an extra shot at winning more green at Heart O’ Texas Speedway’s June 30-July 1 Baby Blue Harcrow Memorial. Saturday night’s main event winner earns $5,000 and a guaranteed starting spot in the upcoming B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational. What’s new at the fourth annual special is a buy-back race to fill the final two starters in that race. Passing points earned in Friday night heats will determine starting grids for two qualifying features, with the top five finishers in each locked into the big show. Two Saturday ‘B’ races will be lined up based on Friday feature finishes and six more cars advance from each. Non-qualified drivers can then pay another $50 to enter the buy-back race, with first and second-place drivers joining the main event grid. July 1 deadline for IMCA rookie of the year applications

VINTON, Iowa (June 21, 2023) – Eligible drivers who have not already done so have until 4:30 p.m. CST Saturday, July 1 to run for rookie of the year. IMCA names national Modified, Late Model, Sprint Car, Stock Car, Hobby Stock, Mod Lite, Northern and Southern SportMod, and Sport Compact rookies of the year and regional Modified, Stock Car and Hobby Stock rookies of the year. Drivers who have not raced 10 or more times in their respective divisions and meet all other eligibility requirements who did not indicate rookie status when filling out their 2023 IMCA license application can call the home office at 310 472-2201 extension 215 or email Director of Points and Membership Virginia Lindsey at vlindsey@imca.com. Speedway Motors is among the IMCA sponsors giving awards to rookie competitors again this season, presenting $100 gift cards to those drivers following career-first feature wins. Super Nationals Weekend set Sept. 7-9 for Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods

KENNEDALE, Texas (June 21, 2023) – IMCA Southern SportMod drivers will have a super weekend all their own Sept. 7-9. Kennedale Speedway Park hosts the second annual IMCA Southern SportMod Super Nationals powered by Smiley’s Racing Products, culminating with a $5,000 to win, minimum $500 to start main event Saturday night. Twenty-four or 25 drivers will start the 30-lap main event grind. Purse for the main event is more than $20,000 with another $4,000-plus paid to drivers in the accompanying All-Star race. Car photos needed this fall for Allstar Performance heat win awards

VINTON, Iowa (June 2, 2023) – With the Memorial Weekend in the rearview, IMCA racing action will heat up literally and figuratively all the way to the end of the IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing point season. Correspondingly, drivers in all nine IMCA divisions winning heat races through the last full weekend of September receive heat win decals courtesy of Allstar Performance. Winning 10 or more heats this season gets them a $100 gift card from the Watervliet, Mich., high performance parts manufacturer. The driver, regardless of division, winning the most heat races gets a $250 gift card.
