Speedway Motors marks 45th, 30th years of IMCA, Super Nationals sponsor support

IMCA RaceSavers chase big payday at Dodge City Sprint Car Nationals

DODGE CITY, Kan. (Feb. 27, 2024) – IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars get top billing and race for a lot of dollar bills at Dodge City Raceway Park’s April 5-6 Sprint Car Nationals. The opening weekend event for the United Rebel Sprint Series sees the winged warriors race in qualifying heats and features on Friday. Last-chance races and a king of the hill pole shuffle for the top eight qualified cars precede the $5,000 to win, minimum $400 to win main event on Saturday. Also on opening night, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods race for $500 to win and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $250 to win. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds chase a $1,000 payday and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility on Saturday. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $500 to win that evening. Additional plastic body components added to IMCA rules for 2024

VINTON, Iowa (Feb. 27, 2024) – Two plastic body components have been added to IMCA rules for 2024. Modified, Northern SportMod and Southern SportMod drivers may use the Performance Bodies MD3 plastic dirt modified nose kit, part number MD M21100 or a combination of that nose kit and aluminum. The second component allowed, in the Late Model division only, is the Performance Bodies MD3 M7751B plastic 8-inch right side spoiler. Both additions, noted IMCA President Brett Root, have been made to rules for the respective divisions posted on the IMCA website.

New promoter wants to deliver first-rate racing at Hancock County

BRITT, Iowa (Feb. 22, 2024) – Back when Hancock County Speedway was being built, Darin Toot used to take breaks from his job delivering milk and eat his lunch at the track so he could follow the work in progress. IMCA Late Model sanction is first for Park Jefferson, South Dakota

JEFFERSON, S.D. (Feb. 21, 2024) – Park Jefferson Speedway will crown its first-ever IMCA Sunoco Late Model track champion this season. Sanctioned Late Models join five other IMCA divisions at PJ and run on six select nights in 2024. The class will also crown its first state champion in South Dakota. “We wanted to add a division that was maybe a little different than anything that was running around here,” explained promoter Wayne Becker. “I have a soft spot in my heart for the Late Models. Former track champion Peery primed to promote Yreka Speedway

YREKA, Calif. (Feb. 16, 2024) – The last laps Travis Peery turned at Yreka Speedway took him to a track championship. The laps he’ll turn this year will be getting the big quarter-mile clay oval ready for Saturday night race programs featuring Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods. “The track was closed and did not open in 2023 and that was tough. Douglas County fills a Friday niche for IMCA in Oregon

ROSEBURG, Ore. (Feb. 12, 2024) – Drivers in the Pacific Northwest will chase IMCA points at a newly sanctioned Friday night venue. Douglas County Dirtrack hosts seven dates for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, nine for the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and eight Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact shows this season. First points races will be April 12 with the final night on Sept. 2.
