Oshkosh sanctions Stock Cars with IMCA starting in 2014

OSHKOSH, Wis. – Oshkosh Speedzone will add IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars to regular Friday night race programs next season.

“There have been many drivers asking us to sanction the Stock Cars with IMCA and we are going to do just that,” track promoter/partner Larry Stratton said. “Stock Cars will give the Speedzone a well rounded field of cars. They are a growing class and we feel they will be a perfect fit to the Speedzone program.”

Points earned at Oshkosh will figure toward IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Arnold Motor Supply Northern Region and Allstar Performance State standings.

Oshkosh also sanctioned the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods this year.

The 2014 race season kicks off Saturday April 19, with the fastest cars on dirt. The IRA Outlaw Sprint Cars will invade the Speedzone for their season opener as well as the Speedzone season opener. Supporting classes have yet to be decided.
Additional information will be posted on the www.oshkoshspeedzone.net website.

The Speedzone is located at 460 East County Road Y on the Sunnyview Expo Center/Fairgrounds just off Highways 76 and 41.
