Moore Wins Grays Harbor Finale, Secures IMCA Modified Track Championship

ELMA, Wash. (Sept. 19, 2026) — Craig Moore put the finishing touches on his championship season Saturday night at Grays Harbor Raceway, winning the final Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature of 2026 and securing the track championship.

Moore started fourth and worked his way toward the front before taking command on lap nine. Once out front, Moore sailed away from the field and drove the No. 14 machine to the final checkered flag of the season at the Elma oval.

While Moore controlled the race out front, the battle behind him was much tighter as positions second through seventh remained hotly contested.

Jeff Hunt, who started sixth, worked his way to the runner-up position and earned Elma Lanes Hard Charger honors. John Higgenbottom completed the podium from the pole, recording his first podium finish.

Austin Rognlin crossed the stripe fourth, while Brenton Schnitzer charged from ninth to complete the top five. The finish also cemented Schnitzer second and Rognlin third in the final Grays Harbor Raceway IMCA Modified standings.

Hunt and Rognlin were the heat race winners.

Schnitzer Scores First Win of 2026 at Grays Harbor Raceway

By Shaun Hulbert ELMA, Wash. (July 3, 2026) — A large crowd kicked off the Independence Day weekend as Q-Mart presented the Mid-Season Championship at Grays Harbor Raceway. Fans enjoyed Fan Appreciation activities before the evening concluded with a spectacular fireworks display. The Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature delivered plenty of drama as Brenton Schnitzer capitalized on misfortune for the frontrunners to earn his first DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region victory of the 2026 season. John Gaynor appeared to have the race under control until a flat tire and subsequent mechanical issues ended his bid for the win, opening the door for Schnitzer. The Shelton driver took over the lead and held off a determined charge from Austin Rognlin over the closing laps to secure the victory after starting ninth. West Coast Modified Clash and SportMod Clash Set for Memorial Day Weekend at Grays Harbor Raceway

(Apr. 24, 2026) — The West Coast Modified Clash and IMCA SportMod Clash are set for Memorial Day weekend at Grays Harbor Raceway, with full event details now available for one of the premier doubleheader events on the West Coast. The two-night showcase will be held Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, featuring Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds and Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods in separate, full-points events each night. Track, Washington State, DeVilbiss Racing Chassis, and national points will be awarded each night. IMCA Modifieds will race for $2,000 to win on Saturday and $2,500 to win on Sunday, with each night paying track, Washington State, DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region, and national points. Tyson Blood Gets 3rd Grays Harbor Modified Win of the Season

(July 27, 2025) — Four-time Washington State IMCA Champion and four-time Grays Harbor Track Champion Tyson Blood kept the momentum rolling with his third win of the season at Grays Harbor Raceway and fifth overall in the 2025 Shaw Race Cars Western Region for the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds. Jake Sorenson led the early laps, fending off multiple challenges from Brenton Schnitzer. On lap nine, the battle for the lead reached a fever pitch as Blood made it three-wide on the front stretch. Entering turn one, Schnitzer got loose trying to avoid contact with Sorenson, clipped Blood, bounced off an infield tire, and came to a stop—bringing out the race’s only caution. On the restart, Blood powered to the outside and drove around Sorenson to take the lead for good. He never looked back and cruised to victory. Johnson Strikes Late as Bannisters Secure Bakersfield Championships

(Sept. 26, 2026) — Tyler Bannister and Jason Bannister completed championship-winning seasons at Bakersfield Speedway at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway on Saturday night during Championship Night on the dirt. Brad Pounds, the 2025 Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified track champion, dominated the 20-lap feature. Pounds started fourth and drove to his third DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region victory of the season, with all three coming at Bakersfield. Newly crowned 2026 track champion Tyler Bannister finished second after starting from the pole, while Markus Frazier was third and Rob Sanders fourth. Pounds also won the heat race. The Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods led the action with 15 entries on hand and an exciting 25-lap championship finale. McKinney Makes 1,000-Mile Trip Pay Off With MLA Nationals Victory

(Sept. 26, 2026) — A roughly 1,000-mile trip from Magnolia, Del., paid off in a big way for Ryan McKinney Saturday night as he captured the $2,000 Mod Lites of Arkansas IMCA Nationals at Riverside International Speedway. McKinney started third and found himself in the right place at the right time late in the feature, taking advantage of trouble for the leaders before driving the No. 25M to victory. Southern Challenge Brings Two Nights of Racing to Abilene Oct. 16-17
