Waldvogel Holds Off Yarie for Eagle River Triumph

EAGLE RIVER, Wis. (July 21, 2026) — Dylon Waldvogel of Antigo led all 20 laps but had to withstand a late charge from Marcus Yarie to capture Tuesday night’s Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature at Eagle River Speedway.

Starting from the pole, Waldvogel quickly established a three-car-length advantage before Gary Janke’s spin in turn four on lap three erased his lead.

On the ensuing restart, Jordan Bartz challenged Yarie for second until her night ended on lap seven when a broken driveshaft brought out another caution. That set the stage for a showdown between Waldvogel and Yarie, who stayed glued to the leader’s rear bumper over the final laps.

Despite the pressure, Waldvogel never faltered, holding off Yarie to score the $1,000 victory. The win was his fourth of the season in the Razor Chassis North Central Region and his first at Eagle River Speedway this year.

The feature was a Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational qualifier. Waldvogel was already on the eligibility list to try and qualify for the Invitational at the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s in September.

Yarie finished second, while Adam Abbey earned hard charger honors by advancing from eighth to third. Justin Pearson crossed the stripe fourth, and hometown driver Jason Zdroik completed the top five.

Heat race victories went to Cody Apfelbeck and Waldvogel.

Snellenberger Survives Chaotic Stock Car Main

A caution-filled Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature saw former track champion Rod Snellenberger emerge victorious for his third Eagle River Speedway win of the season.

The Pulaski driver advanced from eighth starting position to collect his fourth IMCA Stock Car victory of the season and third in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region, with all three of his Northern Region triumphs coming at Eagle River Speedway in 2026.

Dustin White charged from ninth to finish second, while Keslie Richards claimed third. Edward Anschutz earned hard charger honors by advancing from 10th to fourth, with Jason Zdroik rounding out the top five.

Heat races were won by Trentin Bell, Snellenberger, Richards and Mitch Stankowski.

IMCA Stock Cars are new attraction at Eagle River

EAGLE RIVER, Wis. (Feb. 15, 2024) – The newest attraction at Eagle River Speedway are the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. Glembin Goes Wire-to-Wire for First Stock Car Win of ’25 at Eagle River

(Jul. 15, 2025) –– Hometown driver Ryan Glembin led every lap en route to winning his first Suncoo IMCA stock car feature of the year here at Eagle River Speedway Tuesday. Glembin outraced fellow front row starter Jonathan Miller into the lead at the drop of the green of the 15 lap contest. The race went caution free, with Glembin collecting his first EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region checkered flag of the ’25 campaign. Miller took second across the finish line, followed by Jason Zdroik.

White Outduels Snellenberger in Thrilling Eagle River Stock Car Finish

(July 7, 2026) — Dustin White withstood a flurry of cautions and a furious late-race challenge from former track champion Rod Snellenberger to score a thrilling Sunoco IMCA Stock Car victory Tuesday night at Eagle River Speedway. The hometown driver started third and patiently tracked early leader Mitch Stankowski through a series of early cautions before making his move on lap six to take command. Snellenberger, the all-time winningest IMCA Stock Car driver in Wisconsin history, started fifth and carved his way into second by lap eight. He closed the gap on White by lap 13, setting up an intense battle for the lead over the closing laps. $10,000-To-Win Captain of the Creek Returns to 141 Speedway Aug. 14-15

(July 23, 2026) — One of the richest Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod events of the season returns to 141 Speedway on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 14-15, as the eighth annual Captain of the Creek VIII takes center stage. Since its debut in 2019, the Captain of the Creek has become one of the Midwest’s premier IMCA SportMod specials.
