Maynard Sweeps Weekend IMCA Modified Action at The Hill and Woodhull

WOODHULL, N.Y. (May 16, 2026) — Wyalusing, Pennsylvania driver Jake Maynard put together a perfect opening weekend, scoring a pair of Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified victories Friday at The Hill Speedway and Saturday at Woodhull Raceway to collect two early season wins in the Close Racing Supply Eastern Region.

Friday night at The Hill Speedway, Maynard overcame adversity before the racing even began. After breaking a driveshaft during hot laps, Maynard and his crew hurriedly installed a loaner shaft from Keith Lamphere’s No. 98K team to make the heat race. Starting third, Maynard drove to the front to score the heat race win alongside cousin Dalton Maynard, who captured the evening’s other heat race.

In the feature, Maynard grabbed the lead following a lap eight restart before a slight bobble allowed cousin Dalton Maynard to sneak by for the top spot. Jake regrouped and made the winning move exiting turn two coming to the white flag, reclaiming the lead and holding on for the season-opening victory.

Dalton Maynard finished second with Tyler Belcher third. Charlie Fulton and Keith Lamphere completed the top five.

The next night at Woodhull Raceway, Maynard’s hot streak continued. He finished second in his heat race after starting fourth while Brandon Smith and Jacob McConnell claimed the evening’s other heat race wins.

Maynard rolled off ninth in the feature and steadily worked his way through the field. A lap eight melee brought out the red flag before another quick caution slowed the pace shortly after the restart. Once racing resumed, Maynard and Tyler Belcher worked past McConnell for the top two spots.

On lap 14, Maynard found his way around Belcher for the lead and never looked back, collecting his second straight feature win and his second victory of the season.

Belcher finished second while Brandon Smith advanced to third. Charlie Fulton and Jay McConnell rounded out the top five.

Sites climbs podium at The Hill

(May 20) – Friday night saw Eddie Sites in victory lane at The Hill Speedway.  Keith Lamphere took the lead on the first lap of the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event, followed by Sites and previous week’s winner Gary Lamphere. On lap six the caution came out and on the ensuing restart Sites was able to take the lead and stayed in front to the finish. Lamphere finished second with Brad Sites third.

Sites tops IMCA Modifieds at The Hill

MONROETON, Pa. (June 18) – Brad Sites topped the IMCA Modified feature on a night when threatening skies, a few raindrops during intermission and green blobs on the weather radar were concerns at The Hill Speedway. After a spin in turn one by Gary Lamphere forced a second try at starting the feature, Keith Lamphere, Shawn Bruce, and Tyler Stoddard battled for the early lead. J.W. Lamphere brought out the caution on lap eight and Stoddard dropped from contention with a quick pit stop during the caution before Bruce took command on the restart. Brad Sites made an inside move to take the runner-up spot from Keith Lamphere on the 10th lap and the battle was on between Bruce and Sites. Defending track champion Keith Jack Lamphere snagged the third spot and a lap 11 caution bunched up the lead trio. Sites dominates in NY-Penn Series show at The Hill

By Evan Canfield  MONROETON, Pa. (June 10, 2022) – The first half of the 2022 season has been a roller coaster for Eddie Sites. In February, his race shop burned down, leaving little for he and his brother, Brad, to start the season with. He kicked off the Close Racing Supply NY-Penn IMCA Modified Series presented by Precision Hydraulic & Oil season at Skyline Raceway Motorsports Park with a victory, then followed that up with a DNF at Penn Can Speedway after a parts failure. But on Friday, June 10, Sites found himself back in the winner’s circle at The Hill Speedway.  A season-high 18 Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds signed in to do battle and the redraw set Ray McClure and Bill Nichols on the front row.  When the green flag waved to start the 25-lap feature, it would be very short-lived, as a multi-car pileup at the start/finish line would slow the race immediately.
