BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (May 2, 2026) — Bakersfield’s Brad Pounds advanced from the fourth starting position to capture the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature Saturday at Bakersfield Speedway at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway. Pounds worked his way to the front and went on to secure his first win of the season in the DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region. Tyler Bannister gained five positions to finish second, while pole sitter Markus Frazier held on for third. Bryan Clark and Brad Watkins completed the top five.
Ethan Johnson, also of Bakersfield, scored his first career win in Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod competition with a strong drive from third. Nicholas Johnson made an impressive run from 10th to finish second, while Matthew Frazier advanced from ninth to third. Adam Baker earned hard charger honors, rallying from 15th to fourth, and Sunnie Simkins rounded out the top five.
