VINTON, Iowa (Sept. 13, 2025) — The 2025 season at Benton County Speedway came to a close with thrilling finishes, emotional tributes, and standout performances. Earlier in the night, a missing man formation honored longtime racer Greg Kastli, setting the stage for a memorable finale at The Bullring.

Jeff Aikey found himself in victory lane for the second time of the evening, backing up an earlier Late Model triumph with a win in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds. Jacob Snyder jumped out front early with Troy Morris III moving into second, but Aikey quickly worked his way to third, igniting a fierce three-car battle for the top spot.

By halfway, Aikey had cleared traffic and stretched his advantage, then held off a determined charge from Troy Cordes to secure the victory, with Morris crossing the line third.

Docekal Prevails in SportMods

Matt Miller led the early circuits of the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMods feature before Joe Docekal used the high side to snatch the lead. A string of cautions kept the field tight, allowing Kyle Olson and Dylan VanWyk to climb into the top five while Tony Olson and Jarrett Franzen battled just behind.

Docekal, VanWyk, Kyle, and Tony Olson put on a spirited fight for the win in the second half, but Docekal crossed the line first to collect his second victory of the season — and first of 2025 at Benton County. Van Wyk was the runner-up with Kyle Olson credited for third.

Fisher Dominates in Hobby Stocks

Joren Fisher was untouchable in the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks, leading from lap one to the checkered flag. Matt Bennett and Jordan Miles quickly settled into the chase pack, with Connor Clubine advancing into fourth as the laps clicked away.

Fisher drove a flawless race to collect his eighth B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region win of the season, with five of those now coming at the Vinton ¼-mile oval. Miles, Bennett, and Clubine filled out the top four.

Roggentien Awarded Sport Compact Victory

Colton Stewart appeared to have the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact feature in hand, pulling away early while Spencer Roggentien held second and Robert Rundle and Lukas Rick worked into contention. Stewart and Roggentien distanced themselves from the field, with Rick eventually moving into third.

After post-race inspection, Stewart’s apparent win was nullified, handing the victory to Roggentien — his sixth triumph of 2025 and first at Benton County this year. Rick was credited with second while Stewart officially placed third.
