CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (Aug. 22, 2025) — The inaugural Sparkling City Classic is set to light up South Texas Race Ranch with three nights of racing on December 11–13, 2025. Headlined by Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, the brand-new event will feature big money on the line in Corpus Christi.
The action begins on Wednesday, December 10, with an open practice night for all competitors. Racing gets underway on Thursday, December 11, when both classes will run for $1,000 to win and $100 to start.
The purse grows on Friday, December 12, as the payout increases to $2,000 to win and $200 to start. The weekend culminates with the Sparkling City Classic championships on Saturday, December 13, when both classes will battle for $3,000 to win and $300 to start.
As one of the richest IMCA races of the winter months, the Sparkling City Classic promises to draw top competitors from across Texas and beyond, eager to etch their names into history as the inaugural event winners.
The Sparkling City Classic is managed by IES and promoted by KR Promotions, with support from event partners Three 17 Awards, Big O Screens, ODS On Demand Shirts, KR Performance Fuels, Rush Racegear by KR Promotions, and DAM Services.
Fans can expect thrilling side-by-side racing as the Sparkling City Classic kicks off a new tradition at South Texas Race Ranch and closes out the 2025 season in unforgettable fashion.
