Serbus Scores Sprint Car Win No. 6 of 2025 With Dominant Jackson Motorplex Performance

JACKSON, Minn. (July 25, 2025) — Trevor Serbus led the distance of the 20-lap RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car main event at Jackson Motorplex for his first victory at the track since 2022 and his sixth overall this year at three different facilities.

Following a caution on the start of the feature, the race ran non-stop until Lap 18 when second-running Lee Goos Jr. collided with a lapped car entering turn one. John Lambertz, who was running fifth, also sustained race-ending damage after clipping the front end of the stopped Goos Jr.

Dusty Ballenger recorded a runner-up result – 1.933 seconds behind Serbus – with Brandon Halverson placing third.

IMCA Speed Shift TV Dirt Knights Tour opens with three races in three states

VINTON, Iowa – Three nights to remember take the Speed Shift TV Dirt Knights Tour for IMCA Modifieds to three tracks in as many different states. Park Jefferson Speedway in Jefferson, S.D., hosts its first opening night tour event, paying $1,500 to win the Monday, July 20 show. Events on Tuesday, July 21 at Jackson, Minn., Motorplex and Wednesday, July 22 at Buena Vista Raceway in Alta, Iowa, both pay $1,000 to win. All three races are Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying events and will feature top drivers from around the Midwest as well as travelers from around the IMCA Nation. The tour has yet to see a repeat champion through its first 10 seasons. RaceSaver Sprints run Wednesday at Jackson

JACKSON, Minn. – The Heartland Steel Racesaver Sprint Cars presented by Wyffels Hybrids will be added to the Jackson Motorplex program on Wednesday, July 18 with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the LMSS Touring Series. IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars will be racing for $600 to win, plus IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and state points, plus a new Keizer wheel. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. for the draw/redraw show.

Tuesday’s Dirt Knights Tour show among events as Jackson Motorplex suspends remaining 2020 schedule

JACKSON, Minn. – Due to the state restrictions, limitations on crowds and lack of recent updates for outdoor venues in Minnesota, the Jackson Motorplex has decided to suspend all remaining events in 2020 effective immediately. Among the events affected is the Tuesday, July 21 Speed Shift TV Dirt Knights Tour for IMCA Modifieds. The 11th annual tour opens July 20 at Park Jefferson Speedway and is at Buena Vista Raceway on July 22. Monday’s main event at Jefferson, S.D., pays $1,500. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and racing follows 6:30 p.m. hot laps. And on Wednesday at Alta, Iowa, the feature pays $1,000 to win with gates opening at 5 p.m. and racing following 7 p.m. hot laps. Trenchard Scores First Win of 2025 in Douglas County Modified Main

(July 25, 2025) — Nick Trenchard turned in a dominating performance to capture his first Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature win of the season at Douglas County Dirtrack — and he did it in classic fashion. The Klamath Falls veteran drove the Biehn Racing no. 54N to the checkered flag and earned his first win of 2025 in the Shaw Race Cars Western Region. In the 25-lap main event, Bennett Bray paced the field on the opening lap until a caution for debris slowed the field. That allowed Trenchard, who started third, to seize the opportunity. On the restart, he threw a big slider into the first set of turns and took control on lap two. Roedl Outguns “The Hitman” for First Win of 2025

By Joe Orsini SEYMOUR, Wis. (July 25, 2025) — The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Outagamie Speedway kicked off with Dan Roedl grabbing the lead at the drop of the green. Roedl opened up a lead on the field and looked set to grab an easy checkered flag, but “The Hitman” Johnny Whitman had something else in mind. Whitman, the current point leader and defending division champ, started his march to the front by sliding inside Jayden Schmidt on lap seven to move up to fourth. A lap later, Whitman picked off Tanner Janke for third. By lap 11, Whitman snuck past Konnor Wilinski to take second.
