Big Purses, Big Honors Await at 4th Annual Dave Riley Memorial Race at Park Jefferson

JEFFERSON, S.D. (July 20) – Ethan Braaksma grew up watching the IMCA Modified Dirt Knights and wondering what it would be like to race with them. On Monday night, the young Iowan became a first-time winner when the 2020 Speed Shift TV Dirt Knights Tour opened at Park Jefferson Speedway.  Braaksma passed veteran Bob Moore on the 18th of 25 laps, then led the defending track champion through lapped traffic and across the finish line. The win paid $1,500 and put Braaksma on the ballot for the upcoming Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. “I knew I had to keep my momentum up. I was a little hesitant about going to the top,” he said. “There was a lot of moisture on the bottom. I knew if I could just hit it right I could hold the bottom better. SIOUX CITY, Iowa (May 9, 2024) – His phone started ringing right after Brian Seibold’s Thursday night IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature win at Park Jefferson Speedway. It hasn’t stopped. The victory was Seibold’s first in nearly 120 career starts in The Class Too Tough Too Tame dating to 2019. Mike Nichols, IMCA’s all-time wins leader, Texas hotshoe Shelby Williams and Todd Gereau completed the top four behind him. “It was pretty amazing, to say the least. JEFFERSON, S.D. – A Monday Night Mayhem event comes to Park Jefferson Speedway on July 26 as the race track hosts an IMCA Modified Fast Shafts All-Star eligibility qualifying event paying $1,000 to win.  Drivers will be coming from around the area to tackle some of the best competition to make themselves eligible for qualifying during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. A number of local IMCA Modified drivers will be gunning for the top spot, with a handful of drivers who have previously qualified. Drivers such as Chris Abelson, Ricky ‘Racer’ Stephan and more have put their names forward in previous years by winning $1,000 to win events across the Upper Midwest.
