ARLINGTON, Minn. (Jun. 21, 2025) –– There were three different leaders in the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature at Arlington Raceway. Dan Probst led early before Brad Becker took over. By lap six, Cory Probst was in control and never looked back, holding off both Becker and Chad Volk in a fierce battle for second. Volk secured the runner-up spot while Becker settled for third ahead of Jordan Robinson. The win was Cory Probst’s fourth at Arlington this season and his 15th in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region.
Gatton Sweeps Sport Compact Night
Dale Gatton had a clean sweep in the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact division, winning both his heat and the feature. Starting from the front row, Gatton never relinquished the top spot en route to his first Arlington win of 2025 and second overall this season. The lone incident came when Gary Schumacher exited on the backstretch with mechanical issues. Alan Lahr finished second and Justin Dose took third.
Reierson Rallies for SportMod Victory
The Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod main event featured plenty of action. Matt Schoenke led the opening lap before a caution for a Joey Reimers spin on lap two. Bryan Spaude grabbed the lead on the restart, but another yellow waved when Zach Davis suffered a flat tire. Ben Reierson eventually worked his way to the front and led the final 11 laps for his first win of the season. Jeff Lloyd advanced from eighth to finish second, while Eric Larson rounded out the podium.
Allen Earns First Sprint Car Win
Andrew Allen led every lap of the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature to earn his first career victory in the division. He completed a clean sweep on the night by also winning his heat race. Early in the feature, his father Brett Allen made an attempt to challenge with a dive to the inside in turn two, but Andrew held his line and maintained control. Mike Stien rounded out the podium in third.
Bjerkeset Wins Wild Stock Car Feature
Ryan Bjerkeset collected a clean sweep in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars with a hard-fought win over a competitive field. A chaotic moment on lap six saw cars four and five wide coming out of turn three before contact sent Dan Eckblad and Dan Mackenthun to the pits.
On the restart, Bjerkeset retook the lead. Curt Lund, who had started 10th, charged forward and briefly took the top spot on lap 16, but slipped off the track in turn two. Bjerkeset regained command and earned his first EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region win. Dave Moriarty was second and Lund recovered to finish third ahead of Gage Seehafer.
Porter Powers to Modified Victory
The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature was plagued by cautions and attrition. Mark Noble exited on lap one, followed by a stalled car and a multi-car tangle. Wayne Govig spun, and Clint Hatlestad also had issues and pulled off early. Dan Menk led from lap five until the 18th circuit but was overtaken with a handful of laps to go by Josh Porter, who went on to collect both the win and a clean sweep after also winning his heat. It marked Porter’s first Razor Chassis North Central Region triumph of the season. Menk held on for second, with Don Schroeder finishing third.
