ARLINGTON, Minn. (Jun. 7, 2025) — In Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock action at Arlington Raceway, Jonathan Schroeder was the early leader until he pulled off the track on lap 9, following a yellow for Taylor Manderfield’s engine issues. That opened the door for Cory Probst, who took over after the restart and never looked back. The Brewster driver powered to his 13th victory of the season in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region and third of the year at Arlington. Jordan Robinson followed Probst across the line in second. Daniel Probst ended up third.
Schumacher Sweeps in Sport Compact Dominance
Gary Schumacher scored a clean sweep in the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact class, leading every lap from his front-row starting position. The Maplewood motorist earned his third win of the season and second at Arlington. Alan Lahr and Justin Schletzche rounded out the top three.
Carter Returns to Victory Lane in Caution-Filled SportMod Feature
The Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod feature was riddled with incidents, but Jeff Carter from Mapleton avoided trouble and completed a sweep of his own, claiming his first win of the 2025 campaign. After a first-lap yellow for Alex Barnes and the departure of Eric Larson, Carter stayed smooth out front. Behind him, Zac Davis, Broddy Enter, and Ben Reierson battled for position while Matt Looft surged from his 10th-place starting spot. A mid-race tangle between the two Bens-Enter and Reierson-sent Enter to the back, setting up Carter to dominate the restart. Looft claimed second, with Joey Reimers slipping past Davis for third.
Graf Goes Wire-to-Wire for First Sprint Car Victory
Rookie Owen Graf of Glencoe led flag-to-flag in the Rice Companies RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature to earn his first win of the year. Graf held off cousin Hannah Graf in second, while Matt Johnson came home third.
Speckman Scores $1,900-Boosted Stock Car Victory
A special twist awaited drivers in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car main, where Rice Companies and Rickert Excavating offered an extra $1,900 for a driver willing to take a back-row challenge. No one accepted, but $600 was added to the second-place prize. Dakota Robinson led the first two laps before Matt Speckman of Sleepy Eye took control. A series of incidents on the same lap saw Robinson exit the track in turn four, while Randy Melvin and Mark Zimmerman collided in turn three, ending all three drivers’ nights. Speckman stayed strong on the restart and went on to win his fourth EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region feature of the season—and his first at Arlington. Dan Mackenthun claimed second, along with the extra payoff, while Dan Eckblad finished third.
Hatlestad Goes Back-to-Back in IMCA Modifieds
In the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, Clint Hatlestad of Glencoe returned to victory lane for the second consecutive week. He led all 20 laps of the feature, collecting his second Razor Chassis North Central Region win of 2025—both coming at Arlington. Trent Loverude finished second, and Chad Porter completed the podium in third.
