$1,000-To-Win Features Highlight May 10 Program at 34 Raceway

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa (May 6, 2025) — There will be plenty of money on the line at 34 Raceway this Saturday, May 10, as the track hosts a lucrative night of Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing action across four divisions.

Sunoco IMCA Late Models have been added to the program and will race for a $1,000 payday. The Late Models will earn IMCA National points.

Both the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars will run $1,000-to-win features. The Modified main event is a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifier, while the Stock Car winner earns eligibility for the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational.

Also in action will be the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMods, who will race for a $750 top prize in their main event.

Rescheduled Sunoco Bonus nights next at Davenport, 34

DAVENPORT, Iowa (Aug. 16, 2023) – A pair of Sunoco Race Fuels bonus nights rained out earlier this month are on the IMC Late Model schedule for the upcoming weekend. The division title sponsor awards $250 bonuses to feature winners Friday, Aug. 18 at Davenport Speedway and Saturday, Aug. 19 at 34 Raceway in West Burlington. Drivers can receive the bonus one time in a season so the $250 would be given to the top finishing non-winning driver either night, if the winner has already earned the bonus at another track. Friday’s season championship night show at Davenport also features Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods, along with the Ryan McDermott Memorial Race for the local 4-cylinder class. Deery Series makes 50th visit to 34 Raceway

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa – 34 Raceway celebrates the Big 5-0, then gets an early start at celebrating Independence Day next Tuesday. The Deery Brothers Summer Series makes its 50th visit to West Burlington on July 3. Touring IMCA Late Models chase a top check of $2,000 with a minimum of $300 paid to start the main event. 34 Raceway was the site of the first-ever IMCA Late Model tour event, won by hometown driver Jay Johnson on April 11, 1987. The series has since traveled to West Burlington more often than any other track in its 31-plus years, with the single event record of 71 entries set there in 2006. Late Model, Stock Car pre-registration encouraged for 34 Raceway event

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa – Two days remain before the IMCA Sunoco Late Model and IMCA Sunoco Stock Car openers at 34 Raceway and officials are encouraging racers to get pre-registered now at https://www.myracepass.com/tracks/2697/registrations/. Pre-registration is $200 per car and that includes eight pit passes per registrant. Upon arrival to the track drivers will receive a personalized envelope with eight wristbands inside. Driver and crew are asked to arrive together if possible. Drivers are also asked to print and sign the pit release in advance and bring it with them. Grabouski Rallies From 11th to Win First Night of Clay County Classic

By Ben Deatherage SPENCER, Iowa (May 4, 2025) — The 2025 Clay County Classic roared to life Sunday evening at Clay County Fair Speedway with an action-packed program featuring five divisions of IMCA racing. The night’s headliner was a dramatic Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature, where five-time National champion Jordan Grabouski stormed from 11th starting to first in a late-race thriller. A three-wide scrap for the lead broke out between Kelly Shryock, Chaz Baca Jr., and Ricky Stephan in the early laps, with Shryock gaining the initial advantage. After an early caution, Baca—the two-time defending National champion—blasted to the front on lap 4. Baca, a standout in the Shaw Race Cars Western Region, tagged the wall on lap 10 but held the lead. Meanwhile, Grabouski and Shryock waged war for second, allowing the Arizonan some breathing room until Grabouski eventually broke free. Miner Controls Every Lap for First Modified Win of 2025 at Elma

(May 3, 2025) — Zane Miner from Graham led every lap of Saturday’s Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Grays Harbor Raceway to earn his first win of the 2025 season in the Shaw Race Cars Western Region. Miner took a massive lead early on before a lap 7 caution briefly erased his advantage. Another stoppage on lap 9 reset the field again, but he executed strong restarts each time to maintain control. Behind him, Brenton Schnitzer and Tyson Blood battled fiercely for the runner-up spot in the final ten laps, with Schnitzer ultimately holding off Blood, who charged from deep in the field. Miner’s pace was tested again in lapped traffic with five laps to go, but a final caution with two laps remaining gave him a clean restart. He pulled away once more and sealed a popular victory in front of the Grays Harbor crowd. Schnitzer and Blood completed the podium.
