Kaytee DeVries: Hitting the Century Mark in Sport Compacts

By Ben Deatherage SPENCER, Iowa (Jun. 26, 2025) — On a warm Friday night, June 20, in Slayton, Minnesota, Kaytee DeVries did something only three other IMCA Mach-1 Sport Compact drivers had done before her. At Murray County Speedway, she passed under the checkers for her 100th career sanctioned win, finally reaching a milestone that had narrowly eluded her for nearly a year. “I had win number 99 last August at Slayton,” she said. “So to finally get 100 — and to do it at the same track — it was kind of poetic.” Now in her 15th season, DeVries becomes just the fourth driver in IMCA Sport Compact history to reach the century mark, joining Nate Coopman (297), Ramsey Meyer (230), and Caine Mahlberg (111). Her path to the top wasn’t without struggle. In fact, she almost didn’t get there at all. “It’s true what they say — that last one to 100 can be the hardest,” she admitted. “At the beginning of this year I had all kinds of issues. Beatrice Speedway’s Joey Hergott Memorial Offers Up to $10,000 to Win for Stock Cars

By Ben Deatherage BEATRICE, Neb. (Jun. 25, 2025) — The second annual Joey Hergott Memorial at Beatrice Speedway is set for Monday, July 14, and will once again feature one of the most lucrative single-night payouts for Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars. With a unique two-stage feature format, the main event offers $3,000 to win each 22-lap stage, with a potential for $10,000 in total winnings, including bonus money. The format will include heat races and B-Mains to set the stage for a 24-car feature. Stage one will consist of 22 laps and pay $3,000 to the winner. After a three-minute break to allow teams to make adjustments, stage two begins. The top 20 drivers will return to the track for another 22-lap run, with another $3,000 to win plus up to $4,000 in bonus money available. The final stage winner could take home as much as $10,000. Other Speedway Motors IMCA weekly divisions are also racing for big paydays. Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts will compete for a $4,000 top prize and $125 to start. Sunoco IMCA [Read More]

$10,000 Stock Car Top Prize on the Line at 141 Speedway’s King of the Creek

By Ben Deatherage FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. (Jun. 25, 2025) — One of the biggest paydays of the summer for the Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars returns to 141 Speedway as the 8th Annual King of the Creek presented by Appleton Camping Center roars into Francis Creek on July 15 and 16. Just like the Clash at the Creek held in June, a revamped format returns for this year’s King of the Creek, headlined by a $10,000-to-win finale on Wednesday night, which also serves as a B&B Racing Chassis All-Star Stock Car Invitational qualifier. The event will award points toward Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing National, EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region, and Wisconsin State standings. Stock Car drivers will qualify through a full Tuesday night program featuring heat races and split qualifying features, each limited to 24 starters. Heat race lineups will be set by draw, and the top five finishers from each qualifier will lock into Wednesday’s main event. Drivers who don’t make the show on the final night will still have a chance to cash in [Read More]
