By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 7, 2026) — Runnells, Iowa’s Curtis Glover mastered traffic, restarts, and a stout field of challengers Monday night to capture his first career Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s championship in the 50-lap Sunoco IMCA Late Model Big Dance at Boone Speedway. The defending Iowa State and 34 Raceway track champion drew the Eibach Springs Pole Award during the Casey’s Redraw at the NAPA Fan Zone, putting the Cooney Motorsports No. 30 at the front of the field. Glover shot to the early lead, but a caution before the opening lap could be completed brought the field back together. Defending National champion Zach Zeitner of Nebraska went on the offensive on the restart and briefly got ahead of Glover, but Glover reclaimed the advantage before Zeitner could secure the position. BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 4, 2026) – For the fifth consecutive year, pre-entries for the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s have reached quadruple digits and, like each of the four years before it, a new record-setting registration milestone was set in 2026.  As of 4 p.m. CST today, 1,193 drivers have pre-registered for America’s Racin’ Vacation, eclipsing the previous pre-entry mark of 1,156, which was established last year. The divisional breakdown includes 265 Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds, 329 Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, 195 Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks, 192 Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods, 113 Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts and 76 Stealth Racing IMCA Mod Lites. While they typically don’t pre-register, 23 Sunoco IMCA Late Models have already reserved their spots for the 44th annual event. The month’s Bonus Bucks action began Aug. 8 at 34 Raceway, where Andy Nezworski of Blue Grass, Iowa, captured the feature victory and the $300 Sunoco Bonus Bucks award. Tommy Elston finished second, Jake Griffin was third, Travis Denning came home fourth, and Logan Veloz completed the top five. Elston received the Wehrs Machine & Racing Products award, Griffin collected the Kevko Racing Oil Pan certificate, Denning earned the Stakt Products quarter panel award, and Curtis Glover claimed the Penske Racing Shocks certificate. By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 26, 2026) — For the fifth consecutive year, pre-entries for the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s have reached the 1,000 mark as another massive gathering of IMCA competitors prepares to descend on Boone Speedway. Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified driver Chevy Hadan of Washington, Neb., became the 1,000th driver to register for the 44th annual event, scheduled Sept. 5-12. The milestone continues a remarkable run of four-figure participation at America’s Racin’ Vacation. Super Nationals first reached 1,000 pre-entries in 2022 and has surpassed that mark every year since. Competitors from 31 states, three Canadian provinces, and two Australian states are already represented on the 2026 entry list. Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars lead the way with 300 entries, with Bryan Snell of Coon Rapids becoming the division’s 300th registrant. By Mike McGuire DAVENPORT, Iowa (Aug. 19, 2026) — Season Championship night at Davenport Speedway has been rescheduled for Monday, Aug. 24, after rain forced the postponement of the originally scheduled Aug. 17 program. The program will feature Sunoco IMCA Late Models, Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds, Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods, Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, and Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks. Track, Iowa State and Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing National points will be awarded in all IMCA divisions competing during the season finale, with track champions to be crowned in five weekly IMCA classes. Modifieds will also compete for Razor Chassis North Central Region points, Stock Cars for EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region points, and Hobby Stocks for B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region points. Monday racing is nothing new at the historic Davenport facility. Since the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds was constructed in 1920, racing has been held on a Monday 62 times, including earlier this season.
