Zeitner Claims First IMCA Late Model National Championship

By Ben Deatherage BELLEVUE, Neb. (Oct. 21, 2025) — A season that began with frustration turned into one of redemption and resolve for Zach Zeitner, who capped his 2025 campaign by earning his first-ever IMCA Sunoco Late Model National Championship. Zeitner becomes the fourth driver from Nebraska since 1949 to earn IMCA’s Late Model national crown, joining 1996 winner Kyle Berck, 2000 champion Jason Friesen, and Cory Dumpert, who won the last six titles from 2019 through 2024. Driving the Zeitner & Sons Refrigerated Transport/Blaha Service/Select Auto no. 76 Infinity Chassis, the Bellevue racer powered to 16 feature victories in 38 starts, collecting track titles at Park Jefferson, Crawford County, and Shelby County Speedways. The Shelby County crown marked his third in four years, adding to championships won there in 2022 and 2024. Entering the season with 10 career IMCA feature wins, Zeitner more than doubled his lifetime total in 2025 — his most successful season yet under Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly sanctioning. “It’s a pretty big accomplishment,” Zeitner said. “This sport is very humbling. We started [Read More]

Raffurty Reigns Again with Fifth Straight IMCA STARS Mod Lite National Title

By Ben Deatherage KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Oct. 21, 2025) — Dominance, determination and drive once again defined Dillon Raffurty’s season as the Missouri standout extended his record streak to five consecutive Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite national championships. Piloting the Raffurty Motorsports/Raffurty Excavating/Fritter Racing Engines No. 46 Raffurty Chassis, the Kansas City driver again set the benchmark for precision and perseverance. His 2025 campaign produced 30 feature victories across five tracks in three states, highlighted by 16 wins at Valley Speedway, eight at Electric City Speedway in Butler, two at Central Arizona Raceway’s IMCA TV Winter Nationals, and single triumphs at Marshalltown and Davenport Speedways. That total ties his previous best of 30 wins in a single season when he did so last year and in 2022. Across 45 starts, Raffurty posted 35 podiums, 38 top-five finishes and 44 top-tens, ultimately clinching the national crown by just three points. The season also included an especially emotional highlight — his third career victory in the David Raffurty Memorial, held each September at Valley Speedway in honor [Read More]

Probst Powers to Third IMCA Hobby Stock National Championship

By Ben Deatherage BREWSTER, Minn. (Oct. 22, 2025) — For the second straight season, the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock national title came down to a tiebreaker — and for the second straight year, Cory Probst of Brewster, Minnesota, came out on top. Piloting the Weber’s Money/Jack Pines Resort/Bruns Racing Products no. 75C Big Daddy Race Car, Probst captured his third career national championship and second in a row, along with his third B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region title — all earned in the same years as his national crowns. Probst’s 2025 campaign was nothing short of extraordinary. Across 50 starts, he turned in the most dominant and consistent season of his career, earning 40 feature victories — a new personal best and the performance that ultimately secured the tiebreaker over runner-up Dillon Richards, who had 36. Along the way, he swept multiple weekends at Arlington Raceway and Redwood Speedway, the two tracks where he also clinched championships. Those titles marked his ninth at Arlington, where he’s now won four straight, and his fifth at Redwood, where [Read More]
