IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car sanction new this season at Crawford County

DENISON, Iowa – Crawford County Speedway will crown its first IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car champion this season. 

Eight dates for the winged class are scheduled on Fridays at Denison, beginning April 24 when the Sprint Series of Nebraska comes to town for opening night of the Spring Fling special.

The Sprints are also on May 8 and 22, June 5 and 19 and July 10, 17 and 31 programs.

“Iowa is the heart of Sprint Car racing. It’s an exciting division with a lot of fans,” Crawford County Race Director Ben Heyne said. “They put on nice, quick clean shows with an amazing amount of entertainment.”

IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts all return to weekly shows at Denison. The IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing point season runs through July 31, with Aug. 7 designated as a rainout date for season championship night.

“Our fans are really looking forward to seeing the RaceSaver Sprint Cars,” commented Heyne. “We’ve got a lot of positive things going on here and we’re really going to emphasize a family environment. We have six kids’ nights on the schedule now.”

Activities for young fans are in the works each of those nights, now planned May 1 and 22, June 5 and 26, and July 10 and 31.

IMCA Late Models chase Sunoco bonuses at Denison, Harlan

DENISON, Iowa (May 16, 2023) – IMCA Late Model drivers have two shots at winning a Sunoco Race Fuels bonus this weekend. The divisional title sponsor awards $250 bonuses to feature winners on Friday, May 19 at Crawford County Speedway in Denison and Saturday, May 20 at Shelby County Speedway in Harlan. IMCA Modifieds, RaceSaver Sprints race for $1,000 to win at Crawford County

DENISON, Iowa – IMCA Modifieds and IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars both run for $1,000 to win this Friday, June 11 at Crawford County Speedway. It’s Mods for Mindy Night and that feature will be a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. Family and friends of Mindy Reetz have contributed an additional $1,700 to the purse for all divisions. Finishline Racing Products has also added $500 to the winner’s share of the Modified purse and will give gift certificates as well. All divisions will be draw/redraw and more information about the Friday show is to be announced.Gates open at 5 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. with hot laps at 7 p.m. and racing to follow. Pit passes are $25 for adults and $15 for kids ages 6-10. IMCA Late Models return to weekly shows at Crawford County

DENISON, Iowa (March 21, 2023) – Night two of the Spring Fling special marks the return of IMCA Sunoco Late Models to Crawford County Speedway. The Saturday, April 22 show is the first for the division at Denison in a decade.
