Raceway Park tunes up for mid-season championships

JEFFERSON, S.D. (June 29) – With mid-season championships only days away, five drivers tuned up with trips to victory lane on Sunday at Raceway Park.

Ramsey Meyer worked his way through the field in the early laps and went on to win the KISS 107.1 FM IMCA Sport Compact feature. Chasing Meyer to the flag was Cody Thompson, while Mark Holmes, Jr. rounded out the top three.
The MOPAR IMCA Hobby Stock feature was dominated by Tony Fetterman, while Zach Ankrum and Lucas Phillips closed out good runs to fill out the top three.

The battle between Todd Boulware and Karl Brewer for supremacy in the Skyline Casino IMCA Northern SportMod division continued with Boulware coming out on top this week, followed by Brewer and R.J. Merchant.

Paul Wenzlaff led flag to flag for the feature win in the Casey’s General Stores IMCA Stock Car division. Point leader Jason Ward came from deep in the field for a runner-up finish with Mel Elsberry rounding out the top three.
Division point leader Chris Abelson scored another win in the Jebro IMCA Modifieds. Abelson held off a furious charge from Jason Schneiders over the final laps, with Ricky Stephan finishing third.

This Friday night, July 4, Raceway Park and KPTH Fox 44 present their mid-season championships with action in all five IMCA divisions and a fireworks show to follow.

Gates open at 5 p.m. with the first green flag dropping at 7 p.m.
