JEFFERSON, S.D. (June 2) – Park Jefferson Speedway hosted the IMCA Racing Series featuring the Road to the Iron Cup for Z98 IMCA Hobby Stocks on Saturday and when it was all done, it was the familiar 8X of Andy Hoffman standing in the winner’s circle $375 richer.
On a bone dry track, Hoffman came from the third row to roar by front row starters Kevin Bruck and Paul Menard. Rusty Montague was second with Kevin Bruck finishing third.
Chris Abelson finally broke Jay Noteboom’s ownership on victory lane as he came from row three along to take the Artworks Graphics IMCA Modified checkers.
IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car action saw Casey Abbas return to the track and ultimately victory lane. Abbas used his home-built engine to put the 17V in the winner’s circle.
The J&J Fitting IMCA Stock Car feature saw Aaron Cain take the well deserved checkers in a J&J Fitting-sponsored car.
Cody Thompson continues to run away with the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod point battle as he picked up an exciting win starting from the 12th spot.
Andrew Harris once again put the beautiful no. 22 Mach-1 Sport Compact in victory lane after beating David Bates and Derek Boggs.
