Mackenthun’s Milestone Headlines Arlington Fair Night

By Susan Allen ARLINGTON, Minn. (Aug. 1, 2026) — Dan Mackenthun reached a milestone Saturday night at Arlington Raceway, charging from 11th to score his 200th career feature victory in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car main event during the Sibley County Fair. Three different drivers occupied the top spot in the 20-lap feature. A.J. Zimmerman led the early laps before a series of cautions forced him to the pit area. David Moriarty inherited the lead, but Mackenthun and Matt Looft quickly worked their way to the front and battled over the closing laps. Mackenthun held off Looft to secure the historic victory. The Hamburg driver earned his ninth EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region victory of the season and fourth at Arlington Raceway in 2026. Looft crossed the stripe second, Moriarty finished third, Tim Pessek was fourth, and Brent Uecker completed the top five. Allen Sweeps Sprint Cars for First Career Win A first-lap red flag delayed the start of the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature after Kinzlee Giessinger flipped in turn two. She was uninjured. Lafferty Captures Prestigious Camp Barnes Benefit Race

By Pete Wortman GEORGETOWN, Del. (July 31, 2026) — Rick Lafferty charged from third to victory Friday night, passing race-long leader Robbie Stillwaggon with five laps remaining to capture the prestigious Camp Barnes Benefit Race at Georgetown Speedway with the DCB Plumbing & Heating Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series presented by Capitol Renegade. Stillwaggon led from the drop of the green, while Lafferty settled into third behind Robbie and Ryan Stillwaggon during the early stages of the 25-lap feature. Lafferty worked past Ryan Stillwaggon for second on lap eight and gradually reeled in the leader over the next several circuits. After several unsuccessful bids, Lafferty capitalized when Robbie Stillwaggon drifted high entering turn three on lap 20, allowing him to drive underneath and complete the winning pass. A caution moments later for Zach Fields, who slowed with mechanical issues on the front straightaway, set up a five-lap dash to the finish. Lafferty remained in control on the restart and held off Robbie Stillwaggon to secure the victory. The win was Lafferty’s first of the season and his second [Read More]

Adams Breaks Through for First Carolina Sprint Tour Victory

By Evan McCrory RURAL RETREAT, Va. (Aug. 1, 2026) — Coby Adams returned to victory lane Saturday night, earning his first career Carolina Sprint Tour presented by GSR Chassis feature victory at Wythe Raceway after leading nearly the entire 25-lap main event. Following an afternoon of rain showers, the series completed its second visit to the Virginia oval with Adams charging from third starting position to the lead before the opening lap was completed. Josh Shantz and Tyler Lewis occupied the front row, but both encountered issues getting up to speed at the start. Adams quickly capitalized, racing to the point entering the opening corners while Jake McLain followed him into second. Adams controlled the pace through the opening 15 laps before a dramatic red flag on lap 16. Tyler Lewis made contact with the turn four wall while battling for fourth, sending his machine flipping. Ben McCall and Robert Tyler were also collected in the incident. All three drivers escaped uninjured. The restart provided McLain one final opportunity to challenge for the victory, but Adams [Read More]
