MANDAN, N.D. (July 21) – Jason Berg iced his Mach-1 Sport Compact competition for the seventh time this season on a warm Friday night at Dacotah Speedway.
Ken Sandberg started on the pole but it was Berg who quickly powered into the lead when the green flag waved. Chase Schlafmann was not far behind the leader but Nic West saw his night end with a rollover.
On the restart with three laps to go, Schlafmann drove in low under Berg in corners one and two but Berg held on and drove away to victory. Schlafmann settled for second ahead of Stan Thompson.
