VINTON, Iowa (July 21, 2026) — The 2026 Dakota Classic Modified Tour powered by Industrial Electric concluded after five completed nights of racing, with 78 Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds and 59 Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars competing during the week. Although rain prevented the Williston Basin Speedway features from being contested, the tour still delivered outstanding competition across North Dakota and Saskatchewan.
In the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified division, Tom Berry Jr. of Marshalltown, Iowa emerged as the champion, earning his third career Dakota Tour title after previous championships in 2019 and 2022.
Driving the Mike Wedelstadt-owned No. 11X, Berry dominated the week with victories at Nodak Speedway, Estevan Motor Speedway and both Dacotah Speedway programs before finishing second in the Jamestown Speedway finale. The four victories increased his career Dakota Tour win total to 14.
Denmark, Wisconsin’s Cole Czarneski finished second in the Modified standings. Czarneski put together an impressive week with runner-up finishes at Nodak Speedway and the first Dacotah Speedway program, a fifth at Estevan Motor Speedway, a fourth in the second Dacotah Speedway feature, and capped the tour with his first career Dakota Tour victory at Jamestown Speedway.
Tanner Black of Otis, Kansas completed the top three in points. Black’s consistent performance included a fourth-place finish at Nodak Speedway, runner-up honors at Estevan Motor Speedway, another fourth at the opening Dacotah Speedway program, followed by back-to-back third-place finishes at Dacotah and Jamestown.
Steven Pfeifer of Bowbells, North Dakota finished fourth in the standings. His week was highlighted by a third-place finish at the opening Dacotah Speedway event, while Travis Hagen of McGregor, North Dakota rounded out the top five after posting feature finishes of fifth, 20th, 15th, second and seventh.
Jeff Taylor of Locust Grove, Arkansas finished sixth in the final standings, followed by Shawn Strand of Mandan, North Dakota in seventh, Jayden Schmidt of Seymour, Wisconsin in eighth, two-time defending champion Ethan Braaksma, driving the Danny Meier and Trent Guest-owned No. 111, of Newton, Iowa in ninth, and Colton See of Chilton, Wisconsin rounded out the top 10.
The Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars featured five different winners in the five completed features, with Jonny Carter of Lisbon, North Dakota capturing his first career Dakota Tour championship.
Carter opened the tour with a third-place finish at Nodak Speedway before recording a 10th-place run at Estevan Motor Speedway. He rebounded with another third-place finish in the first Dacotah Speedway program, scored his second career Dakota Tour victory in the second Dacotah Speedway feature, and charged from 19th to fourth at Jamestown Speedway to secure the championship.
Minot, North Dakota’s Brock Beeter finished second in the Stock Car standings. Beeter claimed his first career Dakota Tour victory on opening night at Nodak Speedway before adding a fifth-place finish at Estevan Motor Speedway, a fourth in the opening Dacotah Speedway program, and closing the week with eighth at Jamestown Speedway.

Kyle Scholpp of Lampman, Saskatchewan completed the top three in points. Scholpp finished second at Nodak Speedway, fourth at Estevan Motor Speedway, 11th in the first Dacotah Speedway program, fourth in the second Dacotah feature, and 21st at Jamestown Speedway.
Cole Czarneski completed a successful week by finishing fourth in the Stock Car standings while competing in both divisions. After a tough opening night at Nodak Speedway, he rebounded with a runner-up finish at Estevan Motor Speedway before earning his first career Dakota Tour Stock Car victory in the opening Dacotah Speedway program. He added a sixth-place finish in the second Dacotah feature before closing the tour at Jamestown.
Brody Carlsrud of Moorhead, Minnesota rounded out the top five after recording feature finishes of seventh at Nodak Speedway, eighth at Estevan Motor Speedway, ninth in the opening Dacotah Speedway program, 13th in the second Dacotah feature, and 14th at Jamestown Speedway.
Shelby Williams of Bonham, Texas finished sixth in the final standings, followed by 2023 Dakota Tour champion Rob Van Mil of Barnesville, Minnesota in seventh, Dan Mackenthun of Hamburg, Minnesota in eighth, Troy Heupel of Williston, North Dakota in ninth, and Chris Tuchscherer of Burlington, North Dakota completed the top 10.
