RAPID CITY, S.D. (July 10, 2026) — Eric Mass put together another dominant performance Friday night, leading every lap of the $1,000-to-win IMCA .38 Special for Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds at Black Hills Speedway to earn his eighth Razor Chassis North Central Region victory of the season.

Mass, of Rapid City, started on the pole alongside Eddie Kirchoff and immediately established command of the 15-lap feature. Despite one caution slowing the event, Mass never relinquished the lead and cruised to the victory. All eight of his victories have come at Black Hills Speedway.

The special event also served as a qualifier for the Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. With the victory, Mass became eligible to attempt to qualify for the event.

Kirchoff finished second, Brent Nielsen completed the podium in third, while Alan Farley and Brett Pudwill rounded out the top five.

Jahnz Scores Black Hills Breakthrough in Hobby Stocks

Austin Jahnz earned his first Black Hills Speedway victory in the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks after making the winning pass with seven laps remaining.

Joel Magee took the lead on the opening lap from front-row starter Doug Pudwill and appeared headed for another victory despite surviving several caution periods.

Jahnz, who started third, stayed within striking distance before slipping underneath Magee following a restart with seven laps to go. A final caution with one lap remaining set up one last restart, but Jahnz held steady to secure the victory.

The Lewisville, Minnesota, driver earned his 14th IMCA Hobby Stock victory of the season, his 11th in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region.

Magee finished second, Alan McNeil was third, Samantha Swett fourth, and Nick Kirchhevel completed the top five.

Kayla Hanna earned hard charger honors after racing from 15th to seventh.

Molnar Steals Sport Compact Victory on Late Restart

The Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts made just their second appearance of the 2026 season at Black Hills Speedway, and Donald Molnar capitalized on a late restart to score the victory.

Pole sitter Robert Clayborn’s night ended early with mechanical trouble after fading from the lead. Robert Donmyer inherited the point and led 11 of the 12 laps before a caution on the final circuit erased his advantage.

On the restart, Molnar surged past Donmyer to steal the victory. Armando Quintero finished third, Austin Rosenau crossed the line fourth and Layne Dilts completed the top five.

The Gillette, Wyoming driver earned his second win of the season, with the victories coming at two different tracks.
