Grabouski Charges to $2,000 Eagle Raceway Modified Score

EAGLE, Neb. (May 14, 2026) — A beautiful spring Thursday evening greeted fans at Eagle Raceway for the High Banks Heist Weekend.

The Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature paid $2,000 to win and saw Ricky Stephan lead the opening circuit, followed by Johnny Saathoff, Cameron Thompson, and Josh Most.

Saathoff passed Stephan on lap three to grab the lead. Jordan Grabouski steadily worked his way forward from the eighth starting spot, moving into fourth on lap four before advancing to third on lap six. One lap later, Grabouski passed Stephan for second and then slipped past Saathoff two laps later to take command.

Stephan also moved around Saathoff the following lap to claim second. The final shuffle among the top four came on the last lap when Adam Wasserman drove to fourth place. Cameron Thompson completed the top five in fifth.

Grabouski, of Beatrice, collected the $2,000 payday for his fifth Jet Racing Central Region victory of the season and sixth overall Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified triumph of 2026. It was also his second Eagle Raceway win of the year.

The event served as a Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational qualifier for the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s, although Grabouski had already secured eligibility earlier this season with qualifier victories in January, March, and April.

‘A bunch of people working together’ get free fuel for RaceSaver Nationals drivers

Eagle celebrates Freedom Fest, Stan Cisar

By Greg Soukup EAGLE, Neb. (June 29, 2024) – It was standing room only Saturday at Eagle Raceway for Freedom Fest 2024, and a special night celebrating the life of Stan Cisar. Stan was a long-time car owner and supporter of dirt track racing as well as the voice of several area dirt tracks. The opening prayer was a recording of the prayer that Stan gave every night that he announced, bringing a tug at the heart strings. Then, when the Star Spangled Banner was a recording of Stan’s magnificent voice I’m sure there were few dry eyes in the house. Matson Breaks Through in WaKeeney Hobby Stock Feature

(May 15, 2026) — The Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks capped off the racing program Friday night at WaKeeney Speedway, and it was McCook, Nebraska driver Trent Matson racing to his first B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region victory of the season. Three heat races kicked off the evening with Dillon Thompson, Matson, and James Phelps each picking up victories. Mitchell Fischer claimed the B Main to lock himself into the feature lineup. James Love and Dillon Thompson led the field to green in the main event, with Thompson quickly taking command while heavy hitter Morgan Olmstead settled into third. Huggins Hustles to Boone Mod Lite Victory; Multiple Make-Up Features Set for Saturday

By Jane Burd BOONE, Iowa (May 16, 2026) — Joel Huggins raced from ninth starting position to score his first Stealth Racing IMCA Mod Lite victory of the season Saturday night at Boone Speedway before rain postponed the remainder of the evening’s racing program. Landon Elliott paced much of the 15-lap Mod Lite feature after taking the early lead while Charlie Brown moved into the top spot on lap nine. Huggins, from Des Moines, steadily worked his way through the field and grabbed the lead from Brown on lap 12 before driving away for the victory. Whitman Outduels Schmidt in Wild Outagamie Modified Showdown

(May 15, 2026) — Suamico’s Johnny Whitman snatched the lead on lap 10 and fended off a hard-charging Jayden Schmidt to win the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature Friday night at Outagamie Speedway. Whitman, who started eighth, picked up his third Razor Chassis North Central Region victory of the season and first triumph of 2026 at Outagamie Speedway after surviving a thrilling late-race duel with Schmidt. Hometown driver Konnor Wilinski blasted into a big lead early from his pole position. The second-generation driver quickly built up a full straightaway advantage in the opening four circuits.
