Cole Suckow raced to his first-ever victory in a Sunoco IMCA Stock Car Saturday night at Independence Motor Speedway, taking charge early and never looking back. Cordes Captures Modified Glory

In the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, Mike Burbridge led most of the way but it was Troy Cordes who scored the win in the closing laps. Burbridge looked strong out front as Jerry King and Keith Pittman chased. A tight three-car battle between Jacob Snyder, Mark Schulte, and Cordes shaped up behind them.

By midway, Schulte was sizing up King for second while Burbridge began navigating traffic. The final laps brought the field together, and Cordes found momentum on the high side to surge into the lead. He crossed the stripe first for his second Razor Chassis North Central Region win of the year, but first at Independence. Troy Morris III and Logan Veloz rounded out the podium.

Olson Takes Tenth Win in SportMods

Tony Olson bested a deep field in the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMods. Matt Miller led early as Olson quickly made his move into second. With Miller working the top groove, Olson powered underneath to take the lead. Rayce Mullen followed Olson into second, while Cole Suckow settled into third. A few laps later, Brady Hilmer cracked the top four and set his sights on Olson. Despite pressure in the closing laps, Olson took the win—his tenth of the season—with four coming at Independence. Hilmer and Suckow completed the top three.

Graham Grabs Hobby Stock Victory

Bradly Graham was the winner in the Sunoco IMCA Hobby stocks. Brad Graham had the early lead, but it didn’t take long for Bradly to work around Brad for the lead. Briar Kriegel had moved into third with Dalton Weepie following.  Leah Wroten had found herself in the top five along with Jeremiah Wilson.

Wroten had made her way into the second position as the laps clicked off. Graham took the checkers first for his seventh B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region win of the current campaign and fourth win at the track, Wroten and Kriegel were second and third.
