Serbus Scores Sprint Car Win No. 6 of 2025 With Dominant Jackson Motorplex Performance

JACKSON, Minn. (July 25, 2025) — Trevor Serbus led the distance of the 20-lap RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car main event at Jackson Motorplex for his first victory at the track since 2022 and his sixth overall this year at three different facilities.

Following a caution on the start of the feature, the race ran non-stop until Lap 18 when second-running Lee Goos Jr. collided with a lapped car entering turn one. John Lambertz, who was running fifth, also sustained race-ending damage after clipping the front end of the stopped Goos Jr.

Dusty Ballenger recorded a runner-up result – 1.933 seconds behind Serbus – with Brandon Halverson placing third.

Johnson Charges to First Jackson Win of 2026

(July 9, 2026) — Matt Johnson powered to his first Jackson Motorplex victory of the season Thursday night, taking command on lap seven and pulling away to win the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature during Round 3 of the Heiman Fire Equipment Mayhem Summer Series. Johnson, of St. Peter, started second and quickly settled into contention behind early leader Hunter Hanson. After Hanson paced the opening six laps, Johnson made the winning move on lap seven and steadily built his advantage. When the checkered flag waved after 20 laps, Johnson held a commanding 2.889-second margin over Trevor Serbus, who charged from seventh to second. Andrew Sullivan completed the podium, while Hanson settled for fourth after leading the opening circuits. Lee Goos Jr. rounded out the top five. Minnesota IMCA Sprint Series returns with 10 race dates

ARLINGTON, Minn. (April 13, 2023) – After a three-year hiatus, the Minnesota IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Series will return this summer with 10 dates at seven different tracks in four states. Four Tuesday dates for five IMCA divisions slated at Jackson Motorplex

JACKSON, Minn. – Four Tuesday dates for five IMCA divisions are on the upcoming Jackson Motorplex schedule. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts take to the four-tenth’s mile dirt oval at Jackson on June 9, June 30, July 21 and Aug. 25. The Dirt Knights Tour for IMCA Modifieds is in town for the July date. Battle for the Belt Brings Two Nights of Action to WaKeeney Speedway Oct. 16-17

(Sept. 21, 2026) — Two nights of racing and a pair of All-Star Invitational qualifying opportunities headline the Battle for the Belt at WaKeeney Speedway on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 16-17. Pettit Shootout Brings Two Nights of Action to Watsonville Speedway Oct. 2-3

(Sept. 21, 2026) — Two complete nights of racing, a pair of Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying events, and a 103-lap Saturday Modified main event highlight the 16th annual Pettit Shootout at Watsonville Speedway on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 2-3. Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds and Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods will compete both nights, with each program serving as a separate show. There will be no lock-ins from Friday to Saturday, putting every competitor back on equal footing for the second night. The Pettit Shootout is run in memory of Jim Pettit and Pat Pettit, the parents of event promoter Jim Pettit II. The number three carries special significance in the event because Pat’s birthday was Jan. 3, and that connection is reflected throughout the weekend’s format.
