VINTON, Iowa (May 27, 2025) — The 2025 edition of the Tougher Than Dirt Tour is set to launch into its 10th season with six straight nights of high-powered IMCA racing, spotlighting the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMods and the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks. The tour kicks off Monday, June 3 and runs through Sunday, June 8, offering some of the most competitive racing for these divisions in the Northern Plains.

The action begins at McLean County Speedway in Underwood, North Dakota on June 3, followed by a stop at Southwest Speedway in Dickinson on June 4. Williston Basin Speedway hosts round three on June 5, with the lone Canadian date coming at Estevan Motor Speedway in Saskatchewan on June 6. Thunder Mountain Speedway in Bottineau welcomes racers on June 7, before the finale on Sunday, June 8 at the historic Nodak Speedway in Minot.

“I’m really looking forward to this week because it’s a great series of races for the local racers around these parts while also attracting some drivers from out of the area and state,” said tour promoter Brandon Beeter.

Now in its 10th year, the Tougher Than Dirt Tour began in 2016 featuring just the SportMods, with Hobby Stocks added in 2017. Since then, it has become a signature stretch of racing for both divisions in the Northern IMCA scene.

The list of past champions reads like a who’s who of local and regional racing talent. Hobby Stock title holders include Tyler Lucy (2017), Brock Beeter (2018, 2022), Brandon Honrud (2019), Brad King (2020), Jason Ruby (2021), Brandon Bombardo (2023), and Morgan Olmstead (2024). SportMod champions have included Brock Beeter (2016), Robby Rosselli (2017, 2020), Rocky Caudle (2018), Brady Bjella (2019), Erick Laudenschlager (2021), Chase Alves (2022), and Gabe Deschamp, who went back-to-back in 2023 and 2024.

New in 2025, a point fund is being assembled to award $1,000 to the tour champions of both the Northern SportMods and Hobby Stocks, adding even more incentive for drivers to chase the crown.

Preregistration for each event is now open and can be accessed through the official Tougher Than Dirt Tour Facebook page. For continued updates and announcements throughout the tour, fans and teams are encouraged to follow the Tougher Than Dirt Tour on Facebook.

Fans who can’t make it to the track can catch every lap live on IMCA.TV affiliate DARN TV, ensuring that no moment of action is missed from one of IMCA’s toughest most exciting regional tours.
