Wallace Rockets to Victory at Lincoln County

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (May 10, 2025) — Ronnie Wallace of McCook showcased veteran skill and raw speed in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event at Lincoln County Raceway, storming from ninth to capture his first Jet Racing Central Region win of 2025. Wallace took control on lap nine and never looked back, holding off Ayden Steffens and Magnolia, Texas’ Troy Seidl, who rounded out the podium in second and third, respectively.

Cooper Claims Hometown SportMod Win

North Platte’s Joseph Cooper made a statement in the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod feature, charging from sixth to the lead on the 12th circuit. It was his second win of the season, a commanding performance over Chad Dolan and Douglas Beaman, who finished second and third, respectively.

Hurley Climbs from Mid-Pack for Hobby Stock Triumph

Brayden Hurley of Grand Island overcame a seventh place starting spot to earn the A Feature win in a stacked Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock field. The victory was Hurley’s second of the season in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region but his first at Lincoln County Raceway. Robbie Kosmacek secured second, with fellow Grand Island racer Tylan Lambertus finishing third after a spirited door-to-door battle.

Banks Doubles Down in Stock Cars

D.J. Banks from Brush, Colorado, proved to be the class of the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car division, climbing from eighth to the lead by the halfway mark of the 20-lap feature. Banks earned his fourth EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region win of 2025, with three of those coming at Lincoln County Raceway. Joseph Cooper added a second podium to his night with a runner-up finish, while Robert Leonard completed the top three.

Schmidt Dominates Sport Compacts

Justin Schmidt of Grand Island cruised to a comfortable victory in a clean and fast Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact feature, holding off Anthony Simants and Brin McAtee. The trio raced in a tight pack early, but Schmidt pulled away to capture his third win of the season. Simants and McAtee were second and third.
