EAGLE, Neb. (May 10, 2025) — Eagle Raceway hosted an action-packed Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature that saw Kyle Vanover prevail in a wild, caution-filled race, capturing the victory after a flurry of lead changes and intense battles throughout the 1/3-mile oval. It was the Beatrice driver’s third win of the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region and his second win at Eagle in 2025.
Ryan Gilland jumped to the early lead holding off challenges from Dylan Haney, Mike Scheinost, and Cash Beckman in the opening laps. Beckman moved into fourth on lap three, then advanced to second by lap five as Kyle Vanover followed suit to take third. A lap six caution for Dana Deeke’s slowing car reset the field, but the restart led to a major melee when Beckman looped it in turn two, collecting Dan Jackson, Shane Stutzman, and Nick Beckman. With several contenders sidelined, the top four shuffled to Gilland, Vanover, Haney, and Zach Bohlmeyer.
On the restart, Vanover surged to the lead but briefly lost it to Gilland before regaining control. Another caution flew after Brendan Bruce slammed the backstretch wall, tightening the pack once again. With eight laps to go, contact between Bohlmeyer and Haney sent Haney spinning, allowing Travis Hatcher to move up to third. Vanover capitalized on Gilland’s bobble out of turn two to take command, then held off Hatcher to score the victory. Benji Legg advanced to third.
Richards Remains Unbeaten with Fourth Hobby Stock Win
The Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks closed out the night at Eagle Raceway with a chaotic feature that saw multiple cautions and a red flag. Once underway, Ben Becher led the opening lap before Brad Schreiner took command on lap two. Tenth starting Dillon Richards quickly charged through the field to take second on lap three, while a multi-car incident involving Dave Carter, Colin Hein, Neil Pella, and Roy Armstrong brought out the red flag on lap four. After the restart, Richards and Brandon Fisher both overtook Schreiner for the top two spots. Schreiner battled back to reclaim second but found himself shuffled back in the order during a series of late-race restarts.
Richards maintained control up front, navigating through cautions and heavy traffic to capture his fourth win in as many starts at Eagle Raceway this season. The win also marked his 19th overall victory of the year and 11th in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region. Trenton Dowty and Zach Gimpel capitalized on the choose cone to finish second and third.

Horton Prevails in Sprint Car Feature After Intense Battle
Brandon Horton led the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature from the outset, holding off a competitive field that saw numerous position changes and cautions throughout the event. Tige Jensen briefly moved into second before Trevor Waller regained the spot on lap eight. A spin by Tyler Hendrickson brought out the first caution, and on the ensuing restart, Billy Alley surged into third as Jason Danley advanced to second. As the race progressed, a series of incidents, including flips by Ty Ledger and Jensen, brought additional stoppages and restarts.
Despite the chaotic nature of the race, Horton maintained his composure and kept the lead to score the victory. Danley finished second after a strong charge through the pack, while Alley completed the podium in third. Trevor Grossenbacher rounded out the top four, capitalizing on late-race attrition to secure his spot.

Allensworth Overcomes Adversity for First SportMod Victory
John Allensworth Jr. overcame a rough start to the day to capture his first Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod feature win at Eagle Raceway. After being stranded roadside on his way to the track, Allensworth rallied from his fourth starting position, moving past Bobby Draper for third on lap three and overtaking Shawn Pospisil for second a lap later. By lap five, Allensworth had surged to the lead, holding steady through a lap 10 caution for Noah Williams’ spin.
Dion Kovar reclaimed the top spot momentarily on the restart, but Allensworth powered back by and never looked back, securing the long-awaited victory. Kovar settled for second, while Cole Wayman made a late move to claim third. The win marked a milestone for Allensworth, who began racing go-karts in 2003.

Andersen Powers to Modified Win with Commanding Performance
Chad Andersen powered to a dominant win in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Eagle Raceway, taking control on lap two and never looking back to earn his first win in the Jet Racing Central Region. Sean Barragan led the opening circuit before Andersen surged ahead, with Nate Thompson and Tracy Harr battling for third. Thompson briefly reclaimed the spot on lap nine, but Adam Armstrong entered the fray and moved into fourth with seven laps remaining.
A hard hit by Sean Manning into the implement tire brought out a caution, allowing Armstrong to climb to third on the restart. Armstrong and Barragan both advanced past Harr for second and third with three laps to go, but neither could reel in Andersen, who cruised to a convincing victory by over three seconds. Armstrong and Barragan completed the podium in a solid showing.
