BAKER, Fla. (Dec. 20, 2024) – Friesen Performance IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers can enjoy sunlight on the sand and moonlight on the sea when they’re not at the track, during the 2025 Clash on the Coast.
Presented by IMCA.TV, the third annual Clash sees both divisions running for $1,000 to win and a minimum of $100 to start each night, along with shares of a combined $16,800 point fund, at shows Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 24 and 25 at Northwest Florida Speedway in Baker and Friday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, March 1 at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Ala.
No racing is planned Feb. 26-27 so drivers, family and team members can enjoy the beach: Clash promoter Peyton Taylor notes that Northwest Florida is just 35 miles from the sand at Destin while Deep South is a 45-mile drive to Pensacola Beach.
“This event has grown from 50 Modifieds the first year to 150 Modifieds and Stock Cars last year,” Taylor said. “A lot of those cars came from 20 hours away and any time you get that many great drivers, you know the racing is going to be great every night.”
“But we want to make sure we get every program completed in 3-1/2 to four hours so everybody who is part of this speedweek can have fun away from the track,” he continued. “The atmosphere is great, the food is good and there are plenty of places to go and have fun.”
Modified main events are qualifiers for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational, Stock Car main events qualifiers for the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational.
In addition to IMCA.TV, contingency award sponsors for Clash on the Coast include AFCO, Penske Racing Shocks, Schoenfeld Headers, Tire Demon, Velocita and Wehrs Machine and Racing Products.
Thirty-five thousand dollars has been added to non-transfer pay. Top three non-qualifiers from Stock Car ‘B’ features on Monday and Friday and from Modified ‘B’ features Tuesday and Saturday will be entered in nightly Australian pursuits, running for awards Taylor described as “something neat and fun.”
All four race programs get underway at 6 p.m. CST. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and state points will be awarded.
Practice nights are on tap Feb. 23 at Baker and Feb. 27 at Loxley.
