IMCA Stock Car crown is worth $5,000 at Marshalltown’s King of the Highbanks 

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (April 6, 2023) – The IMCA Sunoco Stock Car king or queen taking the checkers at Marshalltown Speedway’s April 13 and 14 King of the Highbanks takes home $5,000.

Along with that big check and bragging rights, the winner of the finale next Friday night at Marshalltown also earns a guaranteed starting spot in the third annual B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational field.

Entry fee for The Class Too Tough to Tame is $125. Stock Cars will run two sets of heats on Thursday night to lock in the top 10 in points on the main event grid

Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility both nights while IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods run for $500 top checks. Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts join the Friday night card.

Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m. each night. Grandstand admission is $20 for adults and $15 for seniors, veterans and students ages 11-17, while kids ages 10 and under get in free when accompanying a paid adult.

Pit passes are $35 for adults and $20 for kids ages 3-12.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and Iowa State points will be awarded. Modified entry fee is $20 a night; there is no entry fee for Hobby Stocks, SportMods or Sport Compacts.

Pit gates open at 6 p.m. and the Wednesday, April 12 practice starts at 7 p.m. Grandstand admission that evening is free while pit passes are $20.
