BELLE PLAINE, Minn. (March 12, 2022) – After the inaugural event exceeded all expectations, Paul Burger is confident the second annual B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational will accomplish the same.
Set for Thursday, Sept. 8 during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s, the All-Star event will feature 30 of the best IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers from across the country with the winner receiving a bare powder coated chassis valued at $6,400 from event title sponsor B & B.
“Last year’s All-Star Invitational was even better than we had anticipated. It definitely went above and beyond our expectations,” said Burger, owner of the chassis building company located in Belle Plaine, Minn. “It’s still pretty cool to be able to go back and watch replays of that race. I think this year’s race will be another awesome event.”
Kelly Shryock was the winner of the first B & B All-Star Invitational, topping a field represented by drivers from 11 different states.
2021 state champions and winners of sanctioned events paying $750 or more become eligible to qualify while winners of specials paying $5,000 or more are guaranteed starting spots on the All-Star grid.
“What I like best about the All-Star Invitational is that it gives so many drivers the opportunity to showcase their abilities at IMCA’s biggest event, the Super Nationals,” Burger stated. “It also gives new exposure to some of the drivers coming to Boone Speedway and helps them get new sponsorship. It brings a lot of attention to the class.”
B & B Stock Cars will race weekly in more than 30 states and Canada again this season. Ten-time and defending IMCA national champion Mike Nichols will be back in a B & B ride in 2022.
