FREEPORT, Ill. (Aug. 20) – The newest IMCA division is the latest addition to the Hooker Harness special events awards program.
The Freeport, Ill., custom seatbelt and shoulder harness manufacturer gives $50 certificates to designated top five finishers at a total of 80 special events for IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Late Models, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods, Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods, Mach-1 Sport Compacts and now STARS Mod Lites.
Certificates are mailed from the IMCA home office within a week after official results from designated specials are received.
Hooker made seat belts and harnesses for aviation applications before expanding to the racing industry; Hooker seat belts and harnesses are manufactured to individual customer specifications, so they are not manufactured until actually ordered. Any necessary alterations are made at no additional cost.
The seven-year sponsor also gives a ratcheting latch and link belt system to the fifth place finisher in Modified, Late Model, Stock Car, Hobby Stock, Northern SportMod, Sport Compact and Mod Lite main events at the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.
