IMCA Modifieds chase $10,000 check at 141 Speedway’s Clash at the Creek

FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. – A crown jewel event for IMCA Modifieds will see 141 Speedway present the winner of the 13th annual Clash at the Creek with a well-deserved check for $10,000. 

The Wednesday and Thursday, June 15-17 special brings drivers across the country to the famed Wisconsin speedplant, where they’ll chase the big payday and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth. 

The Clash pays a minimum of $750 to start and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods race for $1,000 to win both nights at Francis Creek. Winners of Stock Car features also become eligible to qualify for the B & B Chassis All-Star race. 

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Side Biter Chassis North Central Region and EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region, and KMJ Performance Wisconsin State points will be awarded.

Pre-tech starts at 3 p.m. and an open practice session runs from 7:30-10:30 p.m. on Tues­day, June 15. Pit passes are $20 and admission to the grandstand is $5 for adults and free for kids ages 10 and under.

Modified qualifying gets underway on Wednesday, June 16. Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and racing starts at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday grand­stand admission is $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and students; on Thursday, admission is $20 for adults and $15 for seniors and students. 

Kids ages 10 and under get in free when accompa­nying a paid adult and pit passes are $30 each day. 

Modified pre-registration of $215 can be paid and tickets purchased at myracepass.com. Entry fee each night for Stock Cars and Northern SportMods is $20.

Free camping with showers is available and the Left Turn Lounge will be open daily.

Christians cashes in at 141 Speedway

(July 6) – Jeremy Christians told Santa Claus he would take care of his own stocking stuffer present by taking home the $1,200 IMCA Sunoco Stock Car payday on Christ­mas in July Night Saturday at 141 Speedway.  Christians played The Grinch to 38 other competitors.   Christians and Rod Snellenberger drew the front row for the feature and Christians took quick advantage of his outside starting spot and got around Snellenberger.  Snellenberger stayed with the leader but had heavy pressure from Shawn Havel, who made his way around Snellenberger and set his sights on the top prize. Christians rode around the rim of the speedway with Havel trying multiple lines throughout the event to try and make the pass.   Havel got an A for effort but could never make a good enough charge.  Christians never faulted and took home the win and $1,200 payday in front of Havel.  Snellenberger won a late-race, three car battle over Aaron Stolp and John Heinz to finish third in the green to checkered finish. LaCrosse is IMCA Modified star on night 2 of Clash

FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. (June 12, 2024) – Two-car star Benji LaCrosse gave a hint of even bigger things to come, racing from 10th to win the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature and taking Friesen Performance IMCA Modified runner-up honors on opening night of 141 Speedway’s Clash on the Coast. On Wednesday, the Casco clipper motored all the way from 12th on the initial grid to earn the $10,000 top prize, plus qualifying eligibility for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational, helping bring the flag down on two of the richest days of racing this season for IMCA Modifieds.
