IMCA Modified, Late Model, Sprint drivers are racing for Sweet Manufacturing awards

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The manufacturer of the Official Steering Box of IMCA rewards drivers in three divisions for again this season.

Sweet Manufacturing gives steering boxes to the top three finishers in IMCA Modified national point standings along with $50 gift certificates to top five drivers in each Modified region.

The Kalamazoo, Mich., company and 12-year IMCA sponsor is part of the national Modified decal program and drivers in that division must display two Sweet Manufacturing logos on their race car to be eligible for point fund shares.

Sweet also gives a steering rack to the Late Model national champion and a steering box to the national IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car rookie of the year.

Those awards will be presented during the IMCA national banquet in November or mailed beginning the following week from the IMCA home office.

“Sweet is proud to continue our sponsorship of IMCA for 2021,” said Jody Kelsey. “Our long-standing relationship with IMCA is important to us. These are the grassroots racers that keep our industry strong. We are excited to continue support of all the IMCA divisions and like to keep our support in the grassroots racing divisions. Good luck to everyone this season!”

Modified competitors at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s receiving Sweet steering boxes include the three front row starters in the main event, top non-qualifier in points, and Harris Auto Racing Race of Champions and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational winners.

And the Late Model champion at Super Nationals goes home with a steering rack.

“We’ve always been able to hand out a lot of Sweet steering boxes at Super Nationals and at the end of the point season, and we’re fortunate to be able to continue that again in 2021,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder notes. “Sweet is a great supporter of IMCA racing nationwide and another on a growing list of sponsors with over 10 years of sponsorship.”
