Sunoco continues title sponsorship support for IMCA Late Models, Stock Cars, Hobby Stocks

VINTON, Iowa – Sunoco Race Fuels nears another milestone with IMCA while continuing title sponsorship support for three divisions.

Linwood, Pa.-based Sunoco, manufacturer of The Official Fuel of IMCA, furnishes a portion of post-season point funds to be paid to Late Model, Stock Car and Hobby Stock drivers.

The 2021 season is Sunoco’s 29th as an IMCA sponsor. Point fund shares in all three divisions will be distributed during the national awards banquet or mailed beginning the following week from the IMCA home office.

“We are so excited to continue our relationship with IMCA,” said Sunoco’s Deanna Manbeck. “Sunoco Race Fuels been supporting grassroots racers for decades and IMCA continues to offer quality racing to all levels of racers.”

Sunoco will give $250 bonuses to the feature winner on a designated race nights at each track that sanctions Late Models weekly.

Drivers in all three divisions must compete with Sunoco race gas and display two Sunoco logos on their race car to be eligible for point fund shares or cash awards.

Sunoco returns to another high-profile title sponsorship role, providing the $2,000 purse for the Stock Car Race of Champions during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s this September at Boone Speedway.

2021 track and special series champions or point leaders in attendance, and former national champions, Super Nationals champions and race of champions winners are eligible to qualify for the 21st annual RoC. The 10 drivers who start that race all receive fuel jugs from Sunoco.

Information about Sunoco products and distributors is available at the www.sunocoracefuels.com website and on Facebook. 2021 marks the third season in Sunoco’s last three-year sponsorship agreement with IMCA.

“We shifted the Sunoco Late Model bonuses from series events to weekly events in 2020 and it was very well received,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “We were able to present one at each IMCA sanctioned track and we look forward to the opportunity to do that once again in 2021.”
