IMCA expands RoC qualifications for 2020 Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa – IMCA officials have announced that more drivers will be eligible to qualify for the race of champions in their respective divisions at the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.

2019 track champions, as well as 2020 champions or current point leaders, along with former RoC winners, Super Nationals, national and regional champions, will be eligible to qualify. 

“There was a need to adjust eligibility because of the situation a number of tracks have experi­enced in 2020,” explained IMCA President Brett Root. “We expanded eligibility to include these deserving drivers due to the restricted schedules at these facilities resulting from the pandemic.” 

The Harris Auto Racing Race of Champions for Modifieds, Sunoco Race Fuels Race of Champi­ons for Stock Cars, Stephenville Starter Race of Champions for Hobby Stocks and BSB Manufactur­ing Race of Champions for Northern SportMods will be held Saturday, Sept. 12 at Boone Speedway.

Twelve cars will qualify for and run 12 laps in each of those events. The list of 2020 track champions and point leaders will be announced on Aug. 31; no driver who is not on any of the pre-announced lists of eligible drivers will be allowed to qualify.

2019 track champions who have moved up a division (i.e. Northern SportMod to Modified or Sprint Car, or Hobby Stock to Stock Car) will not be eligible to qualify for the RoC in their former division.

VINTON, Iowa – Thirty-six drivers are eligible to qualify for, and two are guaranteed starting spots in the inaugural B & B Chassis All-Star race for Stock Cars at the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Eight drivers new to B & B All-Star eligibility

VINTON, Iowa (June 23, 2023) – Add another eight IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers to the list of those eligible for B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying. Luke Lemmens cashed in at Shawano Speedway’s Racing for a Reason while Logan Rhode and Aaron Stolp both scored qualifying wins during Clash at the Creek shows at 141 Speedway. Tyler Frye was first at Concordia’s Ryan Peltier Memorial and Aaron Johnson won at North Central’s Ron Johnson Memorial. Collen Winebarger collected the checkers at Willamette during Wild West Speedweek. Winners of weekly qualifying races were Buck Schafroth and Tyler Wilson.
