Two nights of racing this weekend at U.S. 36 Raceway

OSBORN, Mo. – Two big nights of racing are set for this weekend at U.S. 36 Raceway.

This Friday, July 3, is the Budweiser Shootout. After two postponements, U.S. 36 has remained persistent in completing the Bud Shootout. The Sprint Series of Nebraska is once again prepared to make its first appearance of the season at U.S. 36 that evening.

As part of the event, heat race bonuses are on the line for the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars. Winners will receive a $75 bonus. Second in the heats earn a $50 bonus with third picking up a $25 bonus.

To complete the show, the IMCA Modifieds and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods will also battle it out on the high banks. The pits gates open at 4 p.m. The grandstands open at 6 p.m. with hot laps at 7:30 p.m. and racing at 8 p.m. 

Tickets for the Bud Shootout are $20 for general admission, $18 for seniors and military and children 12 and younger are free. Pit passes are $35. Online tickets for the Bud Shootout are available at https://market.myracepass.com/store/tickets/?i=1212582&store=17636.

On Saturday, July 4, the IMCA Modifieds headline a second night of racing with a $1,000 to win, Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying event. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars are also racing.

Pit gates for the July 4 special open at 4 p.m. The grandstands open at 6 p.m. with hot laps at 7:30 p.m. and racing at 8 p.m. Tickets for the event are $15 for general admission, $12 for senior and military and children 12 and younger are free. US 36, Bethany drivers meetings rescheduled

OSBORN, Mo. – Due to forecasted winter weather, US 36 Raceway and Bethany Speedway officials have postponed the 2020 drivers’ meeting that was scheduled for Sunday.  The new date, which will again serve as a meeting for both tracks, is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 25 at 11 a.m. at the Cameron Community Center.

Weekly racing continues Friday at U.S. 36

OSBORN, Mo. – The weekly racing championship chase continues this Friday, July 10 at U.S. 36 Raceway. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods all on the race night program. For this Friday, U.S. 36 Raceway has improved the payout for the Sprint Cars. The winner earns $600, second $500 and third $400, down to a minimum of $150 to start.  Pit gates open at 4 p.m. The grandstands open at 6 p.m. with hot laps at 7:30 p.m. and racing at 8 p.m. Tickets for the event are $15 for general admission, $12 for senior and military and children 12 and younger are free. On Friday, July 24, Osborn hosts the fourth annual Joe Crist Memorial Stock Car Shootout. The IMCA Stock Cars are racing for $1,262 to win and $125 to start. Other bonuses up for grabs are $62 for a heat race win, $162 for the longest haul, $62 for drawing the 62 chip and a $62 hard luck award.

US 36 Raceway hosts Oct. 8, 9 IMCA Missouri Nationals

By Rick Staley  OSBORN, Mo. – US 36 Raceway presents the IMCA Missouri Nationals Friday and Saturday, Oct. 8-9, with a $50,000 combined payout. IMCA Modifieds and IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars both race for $2,000 to win and a minimum of $200 to start, with the Modified winner becoming eligible to qualify for the 2022 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $2,000 to win, a minimum of $100 to start and B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods chase a top check of $1,500 with a minimum of $90 to start. The top 12 cars from Friday qualifying are locked into the Saturday show and there will also be a payout for that night. All payouts are based on a minimum of 24 cars per division. Entry fee in all four divisions is $35 if paid by Oct. 6 or $70 after that date.
