Shute Survives Three-Wide Fight at The Bullring

By Christine Rublack VINTON, Iowa (Aug. 2, 2026) — Todd Shute survived a thrilling late three-wide battle to capture Sunday night’s Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature at Benton County Speedway during the Mike Benson and Scott Beauregard Memorial. Shute raced to the front early before Drew Janssen closed the gap as the laps wound down. Following a restart, Jacob Snyder joined the fight, making it a three-car battle for the lead. Shute held his line and edged back ahead before pulling away over the final laps to score the victory. The Norwalk driver earned his 12th Razor Chassis North Central Region victory of the season and his first at Benton County Speedway in 2026. The feature served as a Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational qualifier, but Shute was already on the eligibility list to attempt to qualify for the event during the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Janssen finished second, Snyder crossed the stripe third, Troy Cordes was fourth, and Jesse Belez charged from 13th to fifth to earn hard charger honors. Kyle [Read More]

Belcher Sweeps Weekend with Woodhull Victory

By Michael Benjamin WOODHULL, N.Y. (Aug. 1, 2026) — Tyler Belcher completed a weekend sweep by winning Saturday night’s Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature at Woodhull Raceway, one night after capturing the KC Cole Memorial at Penn Can Speedway. Belcher won the first heat race while Jay McConnell claimed the second. Charlie Fulton and Dalton Maynard brought the field to the green for the 20-lap feature, but Belcher quickly worked forward from his fourth starting spot. Once out front, the Laceyville, Pennsylvania, driver steadily pulled away from the field to secure the victory. The win was Belcher’s fourth of the season in the Close Racing Supply Eastern Region. Dalton Maynard finished second, Jay McConnell completed the podium in third, Jakub Ingham was fourth, and Fulton rounded out the top five after starting on the pole. Belcher’s victory completed a perfect weekend after his Friday night triumph in the Close Racing Supply NY/Penn IMCA Modified Series at Penn Can Speedway.

Sidles Scores First Hobby Stock Victory in Marilyn Wickman Memorial at Algona

By Greg Grabianowski ALGONA, Iowa (July 30, 2026) — Tim Sidles raced to his first Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock victory of the season Thursday night, winning the Marilyn Wickman Memorial feature at Kossuth County Speedway. Wickman, who passed away last summer, was a regular in the grandstands in Algona throughout the years watching her sons and grandsons race as five different members of the Wickman clan competed on Thursday evening. The Emmetsburg driver, Sidles, jumped into the lead from the outside front row and paced the 20-car field through a pair of early cautions before surviving a red flag with two laps remaining when Wyatt Johnson rolled along the frontstretch. Sidles was never challenged over the closing laps to secure the victory. The win was Sidles’ first of the season in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region. Brandon Nielsen charged from 20th to finish second and earn hard charger honors, Doug Wickman was third, Jay Sidles finished fourth, and Grant Haugland rounded out the top five.
