Performance Bodies giving nearly $25K in post-season awards to IMCA drivers

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Performance Bodies’ 38th season of sponsorship will be another special one for IMCA competitors.

The Cedar Falls, Iowa, high performance automotive parts distributor and race car body manufacturer gives nearly $25,000 in product certificate awards to competitors in seven divisions, while returning to national decal programs for IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and as primary sponsor for IMCA Sunoco Late Model and IMCA Sunoco Stock Car rookie of the year programs.

“Performance Bodies is proud to be a sponsor of IMCA for over 38 years,” said Brian Gerst. “We are honored to be involved with a program that gives back to the racers. We look forward to many more years of partnership with IMCA and the racing community.”

MD3 product certificates good for $169 go to second through seventh place drivers in point standings, as well as the second, third and fourth-place drivers in rookie of the year standings in each of the five regions for Modifieds.

Certificates of the same value go to second through 10th place drivers in both the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods, and to rookie of the year runner-up in both divisions.

Performance Bodies gives $179 MD3 product certificates to top 10, 15th and 20th place drivers in both Stock Car regions.

Each of the top 10 drivers, plus 15th and 20th place finishers in the two Hobby Stock regions receive $145 MD3 product certificates.

Top five drivers in national Late Model points and the rookie of the year in that division each get MD3 product certificates valued at $418.

MD3 product certificates worth $179 and $145 go to the national Stock Car rookie of the year and the national Hobby Stock rookie of the year, respectively.

Gift cards for $100, $50 and $50, respectively, go to the top three drivers in national Mach-1 Sport Compact point standings.

Performance Bodies awards will be presented during the IMCA national banquet in November or mailed beginning the following week from the IMCA home office. Information about Performance Bodies products is available calling 800 722-4641, at the www.performancebodies.com website and on Facebook.

“Performance Bodies has made a subtle change to the value of their program this year, going with a dollar value in MD3 products rather than specifying the product award to year-end winners,” noted IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “This adjustment allows for more flexibility for racers to really order what they need rather than receive a product they already have. It is a great change and just another way Performance Bodies really meets the needs of IMCA racers in any division.”
