Karl Companies continue unique IMCA sponsorship program

DES MOINES, Iowa – A unique sponsorship combination introduced by the Karl Companies rewards IMCA drivers again in 2020.

Karl Kustoms and Karl Chevrolet continue support for drivers in five divisions and at the premier event in all of dirt track racing, the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.

“Karl Chevrolet and Karl Kustoms are excited to be a part of another great year of IMCA Racing,” said Clint Quesinberry. “We are excited to continue the engine giveaway program at Super Nationals and look forward to working with IMCA racers all season long out of our Des Moines, Iowa, location that can ship engines, parts, and provide tech support all across the country!”

Des Moines high performance parts manufacturer and distributor Karl Kustoms furnishes a portion of the $9,500 point fund to be paid to top 10 drivers in national point standings for Northern SportMods, IMCA’s fastest growing division.

Fifty dollar Karl Kustoms gift cards go to top five finishers in national Northern SportMod, Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMod, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock and Mach-1 Sport Compact point standings. All drivers in those divisions are required to display two Karl decals to be eligible for post-season point shares, which will be presented during the national awards banquet in November or mailed beginning the following week from the IMCA home office.

And Modified, Northern SportMod and Hobby Stock drivers competing with crate engines who win Saturday night main events at Super Nationals receive new GM 604 or 602 crate engines, to be awarded on stage during the victory lane celebrations that follow during the Saturday, Sept. 12 race program at Boone Speedway.

Karl Chevrolet, the new and pre-owned automotive dealership located in Ankeny, remains a designated 5-star crate engine supplier.

The Karl Companies have been IMCA sponsors for 22 years; 2020 is the 15th season for Karl as title sponsor of the Northern SportMod division.

“The highlight of this program continues to be the GM crate engines Karl presents at the IMCA Super Nationals,” said Kevin Yoder, director of marketing for IMCA. “We have auctioned off the winning engines for years, but only recently has Karl stepped up to replace those engines with a brand new power plant and it has it has made winning even sweeter.”
